The Little Senju and the Orange Ninja

Izumi's POV

"You're in pretty rough shape..." I commented my eyes resting on Sasuke's worn out form, So much for sealing that curse mark... The black marks wrapped across his skin as Sakura sat by his side along with Pakun, "You should be glad that I don't mind helping out!"

"What're you doing here...?" the Uchiha spat out weakly barely managing to lift his head. Sakura's eyes grew wide as she became filled with worry once again. Sasuke let out many groans of pain as he tried desperately to rise to his feet.

"Sakura!" Naruto intervened, "Earth to Sakura..." the blond tried again his eyes focused on the half beast Gaara that stood before us. She turned her head looking rather annoyed, "This guy..." he stretched out his finger in Gaara's direction, "Who the hell is he?!?"

"His outward appearance may be different, but he's the one you know as Gaara." Pakun explained donning a troubled expression.

I grit my teeth as I stared at the red headed boy. Though I had known from the start that this had been Gaara I had certainly hoped that my suspicions weren't correct, "What do you want?" Gaara growled baring his beastly fangs as Sasuke let out a cough of blood, "So, it's you..." he paused for a moment looking into Naruto's blue eyes, "You're the one I didn't kill that day..."

I could see Naruto shaking as he stared straight back into his opponents eyes, "Guys, we have to get out of here!" he declared throwing out his arm to the side.

At this moment Gaara flew from his perch, "Die, Sasuke Uchiha!" he screamed uncaring of the rest of us.

His intentions were clear and had I been standing near Sasuke I would've been fast enough to help, but I was too far away. Fortunately a certain pink-haired girl had the same idea and was quick to come to the Uchiha's aid, No, Sakura! my silver eyes widened as he came closer and closer to his targets.

"Move it!" Sakura was swept away by the sand leaving her pinned to a tree and knocked out. Gaara let out a low moan as he placed a hand to his face as though his head was pounding Immensely giving Naruto enough time to grab Sauske and take his from harm's way.

Naruto's POV

"What're we supposed to do now?" I asked myself my eyes shifting from Sakura to Gaara, "We're screwed!" I don't know if I can handle this guy!

A hand fell upon my shoulder causing me to flinch slightly and look at the person, "Don't forget, I'm here too." Izumi tried her best to reassure me that everything would be fine, "I'm not going to lie and say this is going to be easy, but don't give up either..."

I took a deep breath and let it out again, "Thanks, I needed that..."

"Sasuke.... Naruto.... Izumi...." Sakura mumbled eyes still closed.

"What are they to you?" Gaara questioned me sounding enraged.

"Who are they to me...?!?" I regained my composure, "They're my friends is who they are!" I yelled feeling the anger come to the surface, "You try laying so much as another finger on them and I will pulverize you!"

With that the sand that trapped Sakura tightened causing her to scream out and then go silent again, "What's the matter?!?" Gaara inquired sounding almost amused, "Weren't you going to pulverize me...?!?" I froze to the spot unsure of what my next move should be, "Well, come on then!"

Izumi appeared behind him with a katana positioned at his throat, "Do remember that I'm still here..." she taunted with a smirk before swinging the blade only to be stopped by a wall of sand, "Thought so..." she was knocked easily to the side, "Okay, bad idea..." she brushed the dirt away from her arm revealing a fresh, red cut.

"Why'd you do that?" I asked eyeing her wound.

"I'm sure someone else already explained this, but I probably missed the conversation." she started returning to her spot next to me, "He's not controlling the sand... It's protecting him without him controlling it." to which I nodded.

Izumi's POV

"I'll help if you need me, but for now I'll watch Uchiha." I stated quickly as I perched on the branch next to the raven-haired boy, "Be careful."

"Right!"

"Oi, Uchiha!" I sat on the branch staring down at my teammate, "Did someone take on more than they can handle?" I taunted poking his forehead to which he merely scowled staring as Naruto and Gaara started to fight.

"Eek!" I cried as a warm feeling filled my chest, "The frog is so cute!" I announced hugging the orange toad that had appeared after Naruto used his summoning jutsu.

"Let go of me!" the toad complained squirming in my arms.

"Fine..." I pouted my eyes shifted between my three teammates, What're we going to do now...? I wondered to myself, I could try using my summoning jutsu too...

As I considered the situation Gaara's transformation continued. The body of the Shukaku now covered both his arms and face along with a tail that trailed behind him, "Sand Shuriken!" he yelled out as a barrage of sand headed straight for the two of us.

I froze in surprise, but luckily for both the toad and I Naruto pushed us out of the way leaving the three of us gasping for air on a tree branch, "Are you okay?" the blond asked with a concerned expression to which I gave a weak nod of my head.

"What about you?" worry found its way into my eyes, "That attack just hit you rather than me..." he nodded, but looked like he was battling heavy thoughts in his head.

He than jumped forward making the sign for shadow clones, "That's it! You asked for it!" he declared a certain amount of determination present in his eyes, "Multi-shadow clone jutsu!" with several puffs of smoke many Narutos appeared ready to lend a hand. They were quickly destroyed as Gaara released a breath of sand leaving only the original face down on a branch, "What the...?" Naruto breathed struggling to his feet as he was hit by another mass of sand.

Regaining my composure I caught the boy before he be thrown any farther from our opponent's attacks. I said nothing as I dodged another attack that came without mercy. If this went on much longer....

"What's this strange feeling..." Naruto came again as he released himself from my arms, "Getting stronger..." he continued, "Flowing through me..." I blinked uncertainly as he stepped forward, "As if I was on fire..."

"Weakling..." Gaara grumbled out donning a beastly smile.

With that Naruto and I glanced at each other before giving a nod of our heads and taking off in opposite directions. He created shadow clones, while I created wood clones to match, "Time for the ultimate move!" Naruto chanted as we bolted toward Gaara, "Naruto Uzumaki!"

"Izumi Senju!" I added with a small smile tugging at my lips as I mimicked the blond's moves

"Barrage!" we finished together moving fast enough, so that the other boy couldn't keep up, "And a thousand years of death!" Naruto and I stabbed him just beneath the tail with a kunai wrapped in a paper bomb. As we were easily knocked away the bomb went off leaving an enormous cloud of grey smoke in our wake as we collided with Sasuke whom had apparently found the strength to move from his branch, "Are you alright?"

Ah, I really like it when Izumi and Naruto team up. It's so cute... Author here can't take it... lol, it seems like I end up doing this every time... Until next time!
