The Little Senju and the Dragon

Izumi's POV

Frack! Frack! Frack! The words pounded painfully in my skull, If I don't do something I'm really going to die! I made a hand sign as quickly as my body would allow a katana appearing in my hand. In a swift motion I tried to wedge the wooden blade into the rocky face adjacent to my body, "No good?!?" I grit my teeth as the sword merely made an earsplitting screech as I continued my decent. There was only one option left and the chances of that working weren't very good... "Please work!" I shouted before throwing away my katana and biting my thumb until it bled. I made all the correct seals and placed my hand parallel to the ground, "Summoning jutsu!!!"

I fell through a great cloud of white smoke and found myself no longer moving. Looking down I saw many red and orange scales along with a strange warmth that I could feel through my clothes. A long neck swiveled around and a single grass green eye stared at me with its black, crescent pupil. Rage burned in that single eye that looked straight through me. I froze in place not daring to look away from that gaze. This wasn't a dragonfly anymore, but the real thing. A dragon with scales that looked like a blazing fire and eyes beautiful as emeralds.

"Small human girl...?" a low gravely voice snarled from the long neck that was still turned in my direction, "How could someone like you summon the likes of me...?" I swallowed hard at the frightening tone of the beast's voice. Surely it wouldn't try to kill me... Right?

Dragon's POV

I stared at the small girl that sat on my back trying my best to look intimidating, but the frightened shivers she was giving off was making it difficult. Why was that girl so cute?!? Like a little, new born kitten opening its eyes for the very first time. Perspiration was working its way down her brow, but she wiped it away quickly before biting her lip nervously.

"You don't look away...?" I grumbled giving the girl teasing eyes, "You've got that going for you at least... So young..." I commented turning my head around so she couldn't see the moisture that had started to gather in my eyes, "What is your name and age?"

"My name is Izumi Senju and I am 13!" her voice was soft and I could feel the massive anxiety as she spoke. In just speaking to me she was putting forth an incredible amount of effort, "Surely you have a name too... What is it?"

She just keeps getting cuter...! "So young..." I smirked flicking out my tongue, "I have no reason why I should tell you, but I will so listen close..." Izumi's shaking had almost completely stopped as I talked. Was she still frightened of me? "My name is Taki the great water dragon!" I boasted.

"Hmm..." Izumi wrapped her arms around my long, scaly neck and I could feel my heart rate increase, "I never expected you to be a water dragon... (Because of your scales)" her heart was also thumping very quickly, "Thank you very much for saving me just now... I'm truly in your debt..."

"Don't say something like that!" I could no longer act like I was angry, "I'm truly grateful to you... It's been a very long time since anyone's summoned me and I've been very lonely, so thank you!" I flapped over to the ledge and laid down in such a way that made it easy for Izumi to climb off, "Why were you in such a dangerous situation anyway?"

"It was all Pervert-Chan's fault!" she scowled placing a strip of midnight blue hair behind one ear, "That hurt a lot too..."

I stared at the girl a moment before coming up with a plan of action. With a smirk I transformed into my human form. I was no longer a dragon, but a girl appearing around the age of 16 with medium length orange hair and deep green eyes. A robe was draped around my body and my feet were left bare on the hard earth.

"You can do that?!?"

"Shh..." I placed a finger to my now human lips, "Be quiet... Don't you think it would be fun to play a prank on this Pervert-Chan? Now follow me!"

Jiraiya's POV

I watched silently as Naruto fought to stay atop Gamabunta's back and pondered over whether Izumi would ever speak to me again. The only reason that I had pushed her over that cliff was because she works better in panic situations, but even so it was unlikely that she would consider that a good enough reason for my actions.

"Pervert-Chan!!!" a voice sang as a pair of thin arms were wrapped around me from behind, "You're so mean not paying attention to me!!!" I turned around to see a beautiful teenage girl with fiery hair that reached just below her shoulders and a pair of fierce green eyes with thin sliver like pupils starring at me intensely, "Do I have your attention now?" she snickered, "Now you see... It seems you were the one that pushed my master off the cliff...!"

"Don't call me master!"

"Anyways, I'm here to play a prank on you!" she smiled brightly, "Now...! Is that a giant toad?" the girl questioned stretching out a finger in the direction of Naruto and Gamabunta.

Izumi's POV

The day had grown old and the sun had already started to sink into the horizon, "Naruto!!!" I called as my comrade started to fall from the great toad's head, "Taki, help me!" I jumped from the cliff and Taki returned to her dragon form catching me in mid air. In a moment the blond was resting in my arms passed out, "Idiot.... You used too much chakra..." I scolded, "I'll take him to the hospital, sir!" I looked up at the giant toad.

The toad smiled looking down at the boy in my arms, "Too bad little squirt and you almost made it too... Thank you for your kindness young girl..."
