The Little Senju and Tsunade

Izumi's POV

Naruto was flung backwards once again the remnants of his less than perfect jutsu left a small crater in the ground at his feet. He and Pervert-Chan got into another argument as I stumbled forward trying to keep up as I let out a small yawn. I was so tired... and my eyes were dang sore. We continued on a long flight of stairs. Are they trying to kill me?!?

Hopefully we can find that woman soon, so I can finally get some proper rest. I massaged the back of my neck as we continued walking before Pervert-Chan stopped to question someone about Tsunade, At lest we've stopped moving for the moment...

Another stop and no luck... It looked like our white-haired sensei was getting desperate too. If we didn't find her soon... Us two genin followed the sannin to where the castle of that town was supposed to be to find that said land mark was now only rubble and it looked like it hadn't been in such a predicament for very long. Our questions were answered seemingly quickly as the citizens of the town sped away shouting something about a giant snake. Anything involving snakes can't be good... Especially not those of the giant variety. What a pain...

"Looks like we're too late." Pervert-Chan stated as we stopped in front of a wall that had been smashed to pieces by an unknown force, "Let's go you two." he ordered walking off again, "We're not going to find Tsunade here."

The hour had grown late and a pink-orange glow was cast over the village as we stopped in front of a tavern after many, many dead ends, "Well, in the mean time we'll get a bite to eat in here."

"Hmm? What're you talking about?!?" Naruto yelled staring in shock at the establishment, "It's a tavern!!!"

"Yeah, so what?"

"You trying to be a bad influence on us?" the blond questioned jabbing a finger in his and my direction, "Hello? We're underage!!!"

How can he yell so loudly at all hours of the day? I sighed feeling my annoyance gather in the form of a vein on my forehead, I wonder if I can beat him up without killing him....

"You Idiot." our teacher grumbled staring at my overly noisy teammate, "Nobody is making you do anything, alright? Just have a snack and stay out of the grownups way."

The rest of the conversation was immediately lost to me when I caught sight of a familiar blond woman and her brown-haired companion. She and Pervert-Chan squinted eyes at each other as my mouth fell open. After all this time and there she was sitting in front of me as though no time had passed for her at all. She looked just as I remembered blue diamond and everything.

"Tsunade!!!"

"Jiraiya, what're you doing here?!?"

I'm here too!

"Finally, I've been looking everywhere for you!" Pervert-Chan declared as he walked toward the table where the two women were sat, "Should've known you'd be in here..."

I was frozen to the spot. Why was she only talking to Pervert-Chan? Was I so unimportant that she couldn't even remember my face even though it had been several years?!?

We sat down with the two leaving the adults to conversation while Naruto ate some fish and I fumed in silence, "It's like a reunion..." Tsunade slurred drunkenly a hint of pink adorned on her cheeks, "All the old faces coming back at the same time.

"You mean Orochimaru." the other sannin replied seriously taking a drink of his alcohol, "So what happened?" it felt more demanding than a question.

Tsunade shot a glare in Shizune's direction, "Oh, nothing much really... We said hello, that's about it." she pulled a deck of cards from her shirt shuffling them quickly.

I really want to say something to her... I'm so angry, but I don't want to make a fuss in a public place or seem like a bratty child either...

"Well then, Why have you been looking for me?"

Why haven't you been looking for me?

Pervert-Chan took the cards as he answered her, "I'll cut right to the chase." he started focusing on the stack of cards, "Tsunade, in it's wisdom the village has come to the decision to name you the fifth hokage." All of us froze including Tsunade herself. What in the world?!? Why wasn't this mentioned to the rest of us before just now? It shouldn't have been that much a surprise really. Tsunade was smart, strong, and she was even amazing at medical ninjustsu. It would've been stranger if she hadn't been considered as a candidate for the the next hokage, "You heard about the third hokage." the white-haired man spoke again.

"It was Orochimaru's doing, right?" Tsunade spoke seemingly less than interested as she stared at her cards, "I heard about it. In fact, he told me himself."

Tsunade's POV

"Hold on a second!" the blond kid interrupted me and as for the girl.... She was staring into me and behind her silver hues I could see rage bubbling up that, at least for the moment, she was keeping under control. What's with her? "You're saying he's the one that killed the old man?!? Who is this Orochimaru guy?!?" the kid turned toward Jiraiya questioningly.

"He's one of the sannin like Tsunade and I."

"Then why?!? The sannin are all from the leaf village, right?!? Why'd he do it?!?"

"You're being loud again." the girl didn't yell, but it was clear that she was angry at the blond, "I really don't want to attract anymore attention than is absolutely necessary, so wait patiently for an answer. And do remember that even I lose my temper sometimes, okay?" she took a sip of her water before returning her eyes to me.

"Jiraiya, who're these two brats you've brought along with you?" the blond ground his teeth while the blue-haired girl let out a disappointed sigh.

My old friend chuckled as he slowly looked up at me, "This is Naruto Uzumaki and Izumi Senju." he replied seeing the shock appear on my face.

This kid is the nine-tailed? I thought staring blankly at the first kid, And this is girl is...?

"I see you're having a hard time remembering me..." she frowned before brushing the blue locks from her face revealing a bit more of her elegant features, "You can't even recognize your own niece? Even after that broken promise?"
