Chapter Twenty: Deteriorating

The earth below everyone breaks, and lights on fire. I can control my anger enough to make sure Togata and Eri aren't hurt. I light my vines on fire as well and wrap them around all of the villains, they don't burn them but it makes it very dangerous to move with them on them.

"Give her back!" Overhaul yells, trying to break out of the vines.

I make the vines move over closer to me, staring into his eyes, no anger or any other emotion is visible on my face, but it's deep inside, "I do not tolerate child abuse. This is the easy way out, if you want the hard way-you'll be killed."

Overhaul's face contorts into fear for a second, but he growls. I begin to take Eri, Togata, and the villains up to the surface, but Overhaul breaks out of the vines. I hand Eri to Togata but before I can get close enough to wrap the villain up, Midoryia appears.

He punches Overhaul in the face and knocks him away from us. Sir Nighteye and Aizawa appear behind the green-haired boy, and I finally realize that the only thing that is keeping me going is the adrenaline. The second that this runs out, I'm done.

I'm dead.

"Holy shit.." I turn at the sound of Sir Nighteye's voice.

He stares at me in shock, and I finally take a look at myself. Frostbite has attacked the right side of my body, while many burns cover my left side. While my left palm, right, and left legs seem to be okay, my right palm is covered in dirt and vines are wrapping my right arm entirely, almost making the ice unnoticeable.

"I'm fine." I reply flatly, turning back as Overhaul stands up on his two feet to face Midoryia.

But I'm lying.

Luckily, Nighteye is able to catch me as I fade in and out of consciousness during the battle between Overhaul, Aizawa, and Midoryia. I watch spikes appear as Nighteye begins to take Eri, Togata, and I away from the battle.

Except all of his efforts were for nothing, Overhaul creates a barrier and doesn't allow us to go any further. I'm too weak to fight back, as he touches me on the shoulder and fuses with me.

Pain envelops my body as I try to stop Overhaul from fusing with me, since it will definitely kill me.

"NO!" I can hear Midoryia as my eyes are replaced by Overhaul's and my body cells fuse with his.

He has nine quirks now. I really did change the future.

"I forgot to mention to you (Y/N), and I'm sorry!" I can hear Nighteye call out, "I DID LOOK AT YOU AND SEEN YOUR FUTURE, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S DYING TODAY!"

And my mind disappears.

Third Person

Sir Nighteye, Midoryia, Togata, and Eri all watch in pure fear as one of the strongest people possible is enveloped into the body of a villain, and (Y/N)'s image is completely erased.

"(Y/N) IS NOT ALLOWED TO DIE!" Midoryia screams, "NOT ON MY WATCH!"

"What a tragic life, huh, Lemillion?" Overhaul mutters, "If only you two hadn't gotten involved with Eri..with me. You would not have lost your quirk forever! You'd still be able to pursue your dreams! And despite losing your quirk, Lemillion, because you insist on dragging this out, you've gotten all your friends mixed into this, NOW ALL OF THEM WILL DIE. ELEMENTIA'S DEATH IS ON YOUR HANDS!"
