Chapter Thirty-Three: Quirk Awakening

When (Y/N) wakes up the next day, her phone is blowing up with news. She only has to read the title and her eyes widen.

    'Third-ranked hero, Elementia, our Symbol of Peace, has climbed to the top of the charts!'

    The new number one hero smiles and reads the post, where the editor explains that Endeavor and Hawks allowed themselves to fall a rank short, pushing Elementia to the very top. But the smile on (Y/N)'s face fades when the editor begins talking about how some citizens think that (Y/N) should have earned her title of the number one, and how the hero might have to prove herself.

    She sighs, and puts the phone down, getting into her UA uniform and heading downstairs.

    "Hey (Y/N)!"

    The (E/C)-eyed girl turns towards the familiar, upbeat voice and grins, "Hey Kiri, good morning."

    Kirishima's smile widens, "So, what do you think our classes are going to be like today?"

    (Y/N) shrugs, "I have no idea."

    Suddenly, the red-haired boy looks at her differently, and scratches the back of his neck shyly, "Uh I-I was wondering, (Y/N)...if you wanted to- uh...go on a date with me?"

    He shuts his eyes tightly and bows towards the girl, maybe to avoid seeing if she rejects him or not, but (Y/N) finds it adorable.

    "Of course, Kiri." (Y/N) responds, "I will."

    Kirishima attempts to hide the excitement on his face, but it shows to (Y/N) because she starts giggling.

    "Where are we going?" She asks.

    Kiri smiles, putting a finger to his lips, "That's a surprise."

She sighs, "We should get going, or we'll be late."

    "O-Oh, right."

    Upon arriving at class 1-A, Shota Aizawa stands at the front of the class with his typical stone face, as his students sit down.

    "For today's classes, we'll be doing some new training." He says, "Today, we're testing your skill with your quirks even more. Like the first test you did with All Might, you'll be put into teams, but these are going to be chosen by me and All Might himself..when he decides to show up."

    Before class 1-A can ask questions, Aizawa raises his hand to silence them, "You will be in Ground Beta with your partner, but due to the number of students in this class being at twenty-one, one of you will be selected to be the 'victim'. This person is captured by the villain team, it's the heroes' job to save the victim, no matter the cost. The villain team must keep their weapon intact and keep the victim in their grasp, the hero team, on the other hand, must touch the weapon and save the victim from the villains to win. To save the victim, you must untie them and move them to where the villains aren't at. You have to touch the weapon or tie up the villains, but either way, you have to save the victim. Now, go get your hero costumes on, and meet All Might and I at Ground Beta."

    In the girl's changing room, (Y/N) suddenly grabs her stomach as she sits on one of the benches.

    Concerned, Ashido and Yayorozu rush over to her, "(Y/N), are you okay?! You're pale!"

    "Uh, yeah, I'm fine." The girl responds, "Just a little, queasy is all. It'll pass."

    "Are you sure, (Y/N)?" Uraraka asks, "I'm sure Mr. Aizawa would let you have a sick day."
