I roll out of bed and stretch before I look at the time. I quickly get dressed before running down to the kitchen and grabbing a breakfast bar. I'm going to be late again if I don't hurry to the office, that's all I need. Samantha hasn't been helping out so I have been doing it all by myself which means late nights and little sleep. I race over to Holmes Tower and dash into the lobby. I show my ID as I run to the elevator and slide in just before the doors close.

I hear a chuckle and look over to see Cyril, "Cutting it close Hayden."

"Really? I had no idea."

"Samantha still not helping out with the research?"

I shake my head, "No... She doesn't care what happens as long as she can stamp her name on it and claim that she helped."

He lets out a sigh and hands me a cup of coffee, "Well, I hope for your sake that she helps out soon... Those dark circles might get a chance to go away."

I take the cup and laugh before taking a sip, "Very unlikely."

When the elevator stops we both walk out into the hallway, "Why do you even come in this early?"

We walk over to lab 3 and I pull out my card, "Because I can get in and get started earlier... If anything I can sort messes out before they happen."

We walk in once I open the door and go into the small meeting area before I put everything down and grab what I need. We walk into the lab and I make sure everything is ready before going over to my station. I frown at the note I find. I pick it up and let out a sigh as I walk over to the garbage to throw it away. Really, not what I wanted to read this early at all.

"Questioning why you took the job, Drake?"

I look up to see Smith walk in with a smile on his face, "No... It makes an easy cover for what we really do."

Smith smirks at me, "How far are we to getting the information?"

I frown and look back at the station, "Maybe a day or two."

"Got anything we can use?"

"Besides the fact that she loves passing the work onto others then claiming full responsibility later? Nope."

"Come on Drake it can be that bad."

Cyril lets out a chuckle before coming over to my side, "Oh trust me... It is."

I roll my eyes and go over to my station, waiting for more to arrive. The others will be here soon and then I can get today done with. I have caffeine to help keep me awake but that won't last long. And who knows, anything can happen today. I just want to get everything done and over with. Maybe get more sleep than I have been getting. Ha, funny.

"That excited for the day, Drake?"

I don't look up at Smith, "How long will it take you to stop calling me by my last name? You will have to at some point."

"When I know what your real first name is. I know it isn't Ruby."

I smirk, "What makes you think my real last name is Drake then?"

He frowns for a moment, "Because Aiden called you Drake."

I hold back a laugh as Cyril looks up, "What makes you think his real name is Aiden? After all, it seems that the place we come from loves using Ruby and Aiden as cover names."

I watch Smith's frown deepen as he thinks it over before he lets out a sigh and goes back into the small meeting room to eat donuts, drink coffee, and wait for the others to come in. I focus back on my work and smile after making sure what I was writing down would work. I don't look up when I hear footsteps coming my way. They stop by my side and I finish what I'm writing before looking up.
