"Come on."
He opens his door even more and moves so I can go in. I sit on the edge of his bed and wait for him to come over. I watch him slowly make his way over to his side, the only time he will ever show that he is hurt is when he thinks no one is watching or he is too tired to cover it up. He is sore but he doesn't seem to be saying anything about it. When he gets back in the bed I lay down so I am facing him. He plays with my hair and I hug him.
"We can talk about it in the morning if you want..." he wraps his arms around me.
I close my eyes after a few, going to sleep. When I wake up the blankets are over me. I turn over and find that Cyril isn't in bed. When I hear the water running in his bathroom I get up. Just before I get out of his bed I hear it turn off. I stretch when I sit up and slowly slide off of the bed. Just as I get to the door I can hear him mumbling about something.
I walk over to the door and knock on it, "Do you need help?"
"I got it."
"You sure?"
When I hear something fall I smile, knowing that he doesn't have it. It doesn't take long before he opens the door and I quickly hide the smile on my face. He stands there, his hair wet, glasses sliding down his face, and his gray sweatpants the only thing he has on at the moment. He pushes his glasses up and I walk into the bathroom, grabbing what I need so I can help him. I make sure that the wound is clean and dry before placing the bandage over it.
"See, easy when you ask for help," I get up and look into his eyes, "Did they tell you when we were leaving?"
"When I am recovered... They just left a message this morning about it."
"Looks like the famous Cyril Anderson will be back in town too."
"Someone has to help keep an eye on you."
I smirk at him, "You know, our relationship won't be hidden from the media for long right?"
"That's fine by me."
I walk out of the room, "Okay... I will get breakfast done."
By the time Cyril has recovered, we are gone. Being back in Eastcliff as the people they see us as, for the most part, that is. We do small side jobs where we can but other than that we don't do much. I am going to lose my mind soon if this doesn't get solved sooner rather than later. I sit in a meeting, waiting for it to end so I can go home.
"We have to be able to figure out a way to get the funds for the project."
"To do that we will have to get rid of one of the ones we are working on."
"Well, let's ask Miss Baker to see what she thinks."
I sigh as I stand up, "We can get rid of Project 2, there hasn't been any improvement on it so far and it seems to be a waste of money... With that out of the way we can get Project Star halfway done and see if it is worth investing more money in."
They talk to each other some more before Molly looks at me, "Sounds like a good idea. I will let them know."
I walk out of the room, Samson not too far behind me. Just to be safe. Don't need anything to happen while I am here. Not to mention keeping everyone else around me safer than they would be. And my mom loves to say it is better to be safe than sorry.
Alicia comes over to me with my coat, "Have a good evening Miss Baker."
I smile at her, "You too Alicia... Don't stay too late."
She waves goodbye to me as Samson and I walk to the doors. He opens it and we walk to the car waiting for us out front. When I get in I sigh and pull the pins holding my hair in the bun out. I can't wait to get home, I can kick off these shoes and take this stupid dress off. I was going to go with a nice pair of pants and a nice shirt but things were a little rushed this morning.
