After searching the room we find nothing, "Well, it's not in here."
I turn to Samson, "Where is it?"
"What makes you think I know where it is?"
I frown, "Because Madison would give it to you if she didn't want me to get it."
"I came here last night after Madison told me to get it. She told me she wanted it to go to your parents so you don't try to figure out where he is on your own."
"And you didn't tell me before, why?"
"Because I didn't know what you were looking for. Besides, I didn't think you would come here to get it."
I sigh and we end up walking down the stairs, Macy talking about something that she has noticed. Apparently, someone is looking for Lilya. They aren't going to find her here. I made sure he wouldn't find her, the more I think about it the more I realize the relationship we had wasn't that real. He didn't even know my real name, for a very good reason.
"I don't know... He matches the description to a point but there is a lot that doesn't fit."
We get over to the car, "That doesn't help any..."
"When did you say he comes?" Samson turns to look at Macy.
"He would come at noon almost every day, now he comes after five. He doesn't get out of his car unless he sees someone that matches what she looked like. Well, to a point."
I turn to look at her and raise my eyebrow, "What do you mean to a point?"
"Around the same height and body shape."
Almost as if on cue, a car comes by and starts to shoot a gun. Samson pushes me to the car for cover while Macy drops to the ground, pulling her gun out. She goes to shoot back but curses under her breath. I wait for Samson to help me up. I look around and frown. It is never busy on this street, talk about the perfect opportunity.
"Sorry... That would be my mission."
I look over to her, "The thrill that must be."
She smirks, "I love the adrenaline rush."
I turn around and open the car door, "Who doesn't."
I get in and we make our way back to the penthouse. When we get there I make sure that I have everything and get out of the car. We make our way up to my floor. When we get in I keep my shoes on and go to the kitchen. I end up making some spaghetti, making sure that there is enough for Samson and me. When it gets done I take him the plate and he looks at me.
"Don't get me wrong, I love not making dinner but I am getting tired of having take out."
He smirks, "And here I thought you could never get tired of take out."
I eat my food and get ready for bed. Looking to see what missions are still available. I frown when they are all taken. Not a single one for me. What a shame, looks like it will be a normal night. I end up grabbing a book and reading it. Stopping when I feel my eyelids getting heavier. I put it on my nightstand and turn the light off. As I pull the cover up I turn onto my side and close my eyes.
When I wake up I end up going around and gathering any laundry to do a load before getting dressed and getting breakfast. I skip out on coffee for the day, running around the penthouse to get other things done. By the time it is eight I throw on my tennis shoes and we leave. We get to the East Mall quicker than I thought we would. I text Reyna to let her know that I will be at the small book store, waiting for her to get here. She should be here soon though.
