What I Never Told You

Chapter 28: Hello!

He nods his head and Cyril looks at me, I tell Jamie to go and watch. He runs across without anyone shooting at him. I let out a sigh of relief, I knew they wouldn't but wasn't sure, I'm starting to second guess myself on everything now. I look at Cyril and he nods to me. I shake my head, I want to be the last one for a reason. I know where some of them are and can get them.

"You go, I will be right behind you."

"But-"

He grabs my hand and puts an earpiece in it, "Put that in and I will let you know when I'm coming."

I put it in and kiss him, "You better."

He goes over to the corner and pulls out his gun. I stand next to him, staring at him. I wait and when he nods I make a run for it. I manage to get to the other side without getting hit. I turn around after getting Jamie to stand in a spot and look over to Cyril. I move so I can see who will be shooting and get ready, waiting for Cyril to let me know when he is coming.

"Ready?"

I smirk as I press the button, "Always."

When I see him move out of the corner of my eye I start shooting. Getting some down for cover. When Cyril gets over to me I stop and move so they can't see me. I look at him and watch him pick up Jamie. We make it over to another spot.

"Are you ready for us?"

I watch Madison move into view, "Waiting for you."

Cyril makes me go over first. When he goes to move they shoot at him and he goes back. I watch him put Jamie down and look around for something. He stays where he is after grabbing something and I try to help the others get rid of some of the men so Cyril can get over here with Jamie. I really don't like this.

Once my gun clicks I quickly grab another one as I put it back in a holster. If we can get it clear long enough then Cyril can run over here with Jamie. We can leave and not have to worry about getting stuck here. With the little number of weapons we have, it wouldn't be the best thing. Especially with Jamie here.

"Guys... We have a little problem," Reyna says.

I press the button, "I don't like that sentence... What is it?"

"Someone messed with one of the bombs... I can't fix it from here one of you will have to go and reattach the wire."

"I can do it," Cyril says.

"No, you have Jamie with you," I look over at him.

"He can stay here while I go fix it. I'm the closest anyways," Cyril looks at me.

"He is right, Hayden..."

I look at Madison, "Fine..."

He turns to Jamie and tells him to stay there before running off. I watch him disappear from my sight and I bite my lip. When we don't get anything back for a couple of minutes I get worried. I look over to make sure Jamie is still where Cyril left him. I tense up when I hear more gunshots. Cyril should be at the bomb by now. I look over to Madison to see that she is a little nervous too.

"He should be there by now."

"He is probably a little busy."

"How is it looking, Reyna?" she should be able to tell if he got there or not.

"We are good... I'll give you a cue to run back to the van."

"Thanks."

"Cyril..." I wait a minute, "Cyril, talk to me!"

"Sorry... Got a little busy," I watch him come into view again.

I let out a sigh of relief and watch him get to Jamie, "Let's get out of here before we get stuck."
