By the time lunch comes around we are all sitting down and waiting for the computer to tell us it found something. When the familiar sound of tires coming down the gravel road fills the air we all get up. No one should be out here, they don't really know where we are. At least they shouldn't know for a little longer. I pull out my gun and when Madison puts her hand on my arm I look at her with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't feel like explaining to the ordained minister why she was shot at."

"I thought you were going to get married in May or June."

"With how things are going we decided to change that."

"December twentieth is far from what you were planning... Afraid you won't get a chance?"

"Maybe," Madison says as she gets up, "Besides... All I really need is her, and maybe you two."

She opens the door and I smile at the sound of someone muttering something, "Hi mom."

She walks in with Madison, "I'm surprised to see you are still alive. You can be a handful at times."

I go back to the T.V., "Nice to see you too."

She sighs, "Why aren't you ready?"

"To be fair, she was just told."

"That shouldn't be a problem."

I turn to see Clara standing there, "So that is what you were doing online."

She gives me a small smile, "Sounded like a good idea, gives me something to do once I decide to leave The Academy."

I sigh as I get up, "I bought nothing for this wedding."

My mom tosses me a bag, "Good thing I did."

I frown, "Can't I just stay in what I am wearing?"

"Nope. Hurry up, we have to get to the barn so we can do this before it gets too bad out there."

I go up the stairs, muttering about having to wear something I am not going to like. When I close the door to my room I walk to the bed and open the bag. Looking down at the soft pink fabric. I pull it out of the bag and hope that it doesn't fit. When I put the dress on, all hope about it not fitting is crushed. It fits perfectly, my mom probably made sure of it so I didn't have any excuses to not wear it.

The dress is flowy, I can bring a gun with me and no one would know. That is the only good thing I can see from wearing this dress. It is a strapless floor-length chiffon dress with beading under the bust. It has a sweetheart neckline and I already want it off. When I hear a knock at the door I quickly put my thigh holster on and make sure you can tell I have it before saying anything.

"What?"

"Are you done?"

"Yeah."

My mom walks in and smiles at me, "You look so beautiful."

I frown at her, "Do I have to wear it?"

She glares at me, "Hayden Aurora Baker you will wear that and not complain about it for the rest of the day."

I pull a face at the sound of my full name. I never liked it when I was called by my full name, it was normally because I got in trouble. It has been a while since I had heard my mom say my full name. I sigh and grab the shoes she put in the bag. Nothing like a pair of high heels to wear for the night.

I put them on and take my hair out of the braid it was in, "I'm not putting makeup on."

She sighs, "I know. It was worth a try though."
