Chapter 15

Chaeyoung PoV

Last week, Jungkook and I never texted each other or he didn't come pick me up for lunch, like he usually does. What I know, is that he's doing his stand-in appa duties to Jiyoon and they've been hanging out much.

Jennie is able to work properly because Jungkook and Jiyoon are together. Sometimes she's disturbed that Jiyoon isn't home until 6 in the evening because Jungkook and her ate dinner outside.

Jisoo is now having her 2 week break from modelling and is going around with Jin. She's trying to learn what their business is all about and we told her to get to know Jin better so I guess she's discovering more about him.

Lisa is still active in her job but her gigs are in Seoul, as of the moment. We were able to talk to Bambam through the phone the other night, and he seems kind. He and Lisa would probably end up together.

While me, I haven't told the girls that I'm going to leave for overseas work. Lately, the team that will go to Hawaii has been practicing emergency protocols and reviewing the medicines and checking the stocks of medicine we will be bringing.

Jihyo and I have been fixing the schedule. We aren't there to just treat people, we're there to lift people's spirits up. I thought of an activity like a gathering, then the people can sing and dance or just have fun.

I suggested we also have a food program, wherein the kids can get to eat properly first and we'll donate goods in Korea like pens, books and notebooks.

Sunbae told me that there is a small library that's being set up, the UN had budget to put the library. He asked us to helped there too, when there's a vacant schedule. Actually, the juniors of our team wants to go to the city and stay there.

People from that small town can't enter the city because they are being 'isolated' from the classy people. We can drive from the town to Honolulu but we have to ride with UN to enter.

I lean back from my swivel chair and rest my head on my right hand.

How am I going to tell Jiyoon and the girls that I'll be gone for a month and a half? Especially, Jungkook. He doesn't know if I confirmed to go or not, he didn't ask, he doesn't know when I'm coming back---

I miss him visiting me in the hospital almost everyday, him bothering me to leave the hospital and eat outside.

"Knock, knock?"

I look up and see my sunbae gesturing me a 'hi' sign and smiling. He is also carrying a few clipboards, which means he has patients I need to take care of. Out of all the doctors here, sunbae has the most patients and I'm just here to share load.

Actually, we haven't talked in a while. I think he's busy taking care of our papers for the medical mission that's why he doesn't have a lot of time to connect with the others.

"Here," he gives me one clipboard.

I opened it and saw that it was a heart-related surgery case.

Oh, yeah, speaking of heart-related, Chou Tzuyu has been pestering me a lot lately. Her family maybe wealthier than mine but in terms of skills, I'm definitely better than her.

She's been asking me for Jungkook's phone number and where can she meet him or like where does he usually have lunch. I know, I hate that man but his privacy must be respected so I keep bugging her off.

All she will do, is stop and stomp her feet on the floor until the nurses will baby her. Especially the specially-assigned nurses who are under the cardio team.

Sunbae sits down on of the chairs that is positioned in front of my table. It's only used when I have to explain to a family the pros and cons of a surgery or when there's a need of consultation for surgery.
