Chapter 51

Jennie PoV

Jisoo-eonnie and I have been following Chaeyoung around lately. And yes, Jiyoon is still staying with me in my penthouse.

There she is in that cafe, again. It's already 8:30 in the evening, I hope Taehyung is taking care of Jiyoon for a while. The 3 of us have been watching over Chaeyoung from a far because of our anger kicking in.

And we're trying to help our friends who are still looking for Jungkook. It's gonna be 2 weeks since he's gone, and they still haven't found him. Wherever that coward is, I need him out in this stupid battle field.

Lisa was with us a few hours ago, she left for some 'personal' issue. I think she's got her monthly visit, to be honest so I let it pass. That girl has been into weird stuff lately. One moment, the 3 of us are trying to look after Chaeyoung and the next, she has to run to another place.

"Urgh, what the hell is she doing?!" Jisoo complains. "This is the 3rd consecutive night that she's been waiting for that bitch and he still does not show up. Look how frustrated she is!"

She throws her hands up and walks back and forth, "That. That exactly is how Junhoe acted before they broke up. How the hell does she not realize that she deserves someone better!"

I folded my arms, "Like Jungkook?"

"Yeah! Like Jungkook--Hey, Jennie!" she furrowed her brows and rolled her eyes. "Alright, yes, like Jungkook."

I laughed at my eonnie.

She continued to complain about Chaeyoung still liking that man. Kept asking how can I, Jennie Kim, just watch over her from a far when I can just straight-up slap Junhoe.

Yeah, why didn't I do that?

I have every right to do it, Lisa has every right to do it, Jisoo has every right to do it. But why didn't I?

Was it because of Jungkook? How he said if Chaeyoung's happy, he's happy? Of course, when Chaeyoung's happy, I'm happy. But Chaeyoung happy with Koo Junhoe?

What if I just straight-up get mad at Junhoe when he finally appears in the cafe? Or how long will I keep my act of distancing from Chaeyoung and pretend to be happy for her?

"Eonnies!" we heard Lisa calling us.

Our heads turned to her, who was running and panting.

"Eo, Lalisa? What happened?" Jisoo asked.

Lisa stood up properly and took a deep breath, "I found proof."

I lifted one brow, "What do you mean proof?"

She took out her phone from her pocket and opened to a picture then showed it to us. The photo she showed has lights that of bars, and the focus of the picture is a man on the counter kissing a lady.

"Is that?" Jisoo used her fingers to zoom in the pictures. "Koo Junhoe?"

Lisa nodded, "And that's the bar's famous whore."

"How did you know he was there?" I asked.

"It's Sorn's step-brother's bar, pretty close to him . He's a neurologist, not a neurosurgeon, went to the same university as us and knew Chaeyoung's relationship with Junhoe," she explains.

We heard the cafe's door open.

The 3 of us were hiding in some small alley right across the cafe. And the cafe has this twinkling sound once you open it. Someone in a black suit was running inside the cafe, sitting in front of Chaeyoung.

"Speaking of the devil," I said.

"And the idiot," Jisoo blurted.

Lisa and I turned to her with a confused face.
