Chapter 16

Lisa PoV

Jisoo, Jennie and I were in a room in the 2nd floor when the Jungkook guy came. Because of our hectic overseas schedule, Jisoo and I asked Jennie who exactly this Jungkook is.

I just realized that Chaeyoung has finally learned to accept a guy since 5 years ago. This is exactly how Junhoe and Chaeyoung started. She's always in denial at first but she'll get through. And Jungkook really looks kind, so double points from me. 

Apparently, Jisoo knows him through her fiance, and he is Jennie's boss. When I texted Bambam, he said Jungkook was his business partner. Sure is a small world out here, yeah?

In this room, all of the clothes Jennie's fashion line is being displayed with mannequins. Her office is very authentic and she's smart as a businesswoman, opening her office for visitors is very nice. 

They do get profit from the tours but her fashion line just started a year ago and is still blossoming. Jennie said it takes time and she's just being patient. 

The 3 of us puts our ear on the door, trying to listen to what Jungkook and Chaeyoung are talking about. 

"Yah, are we seriously gonna do this? Let Chaeyoung fall in love," I told them as they try to peek from the door. 

Jisoo looked at me, "No. Jeon Jungkook is the 3rd richest businessman in the whole South Korea and 8th in the world, why would we let that go? She'll be queen senorita when they get married."

I scoffed, "Seriously? Money? Guys, please. Money isn't everything."

"What we're trying to say, Lalisa," Jennie closes the door and goes to me. "Chaeyoung can get media fire, I mean, she's dating a rich man with a powerful business."

"So? She can handle herself, besides, if they are going to date, Jungkook will probably make sure of her safety before us, lol," they frowned at me. "Come on. Chaeyoung has never felt loved like that since Junhoe and we know how she needs it most of the time. We won't always be her back support, let her be happy."

I realized that I understand Chaeyoung. 

When we were in college, our courses were different but we took one class together. I wanted to learn something like poetry and she was in the class, asking me if I can understand the word the teacher meant. 

It was kind of clear she wasn't a Korean. I lived in Korea a year earlier than her, so I translated some words for the first 2 months. Time passed, we're friends. 

Then we met Junhoe, her number 1 fan. A lot of people really wanted to speak to Chaeyoung because of her poise, Australian accent, and her slim body. I knew that she liked some of the jocks in school but it was just a 'phase' for her. 

When Junhoe finally confessed to her, she gave it some time and then they became a thing. That's where Jisoo comes in and the 3 of us becomes friends before Jennie came. 

Actually, she always denies it when she's in love. Saying it's just a 'fling' or a 'phase' and that she'll get over it. I bet 100% that she cannot sleep even if her eyes are closed. 

"She's right, Jen. Chaeyoung has never been like that since Junhoe..actually, she seems happier than with Junhoe," Jisoo says. "Jiyoon really likes the guy, why don't we give him a chance?"

Jennie sighs, "Fine, I don't want her to date him because she'll be the wife of my boss. Whatever, I know she loves us all."

"Wife? You mean they'll get married?" I asked. 

"Heh. Lalisa, those 2 are meant to be," Jennie grins. 

"Sometimes, I don't know if you're Kim Jennie or Jennie Kim," Jisoo says.
