Chaeyoung PoV

Jungkook's car takes its leave as I step out.

Finally, I'm home.

I see my small 2 storied house. The lights are on, the parking lot empty, and the garden unmaintained.

There were small noises inside the house, and I can hear Lisa and Jisoo bickering. Maybe they're still eating their dinner. The girls always eat dinner at 7:30 in the evening, it's part of their 'healthy' lives diet.

So Jiyoon and I got affected with their schedule.

As I jam my keys inside the door knob, my thoughts were how they were gonna react. How would they react if I'd gone home today and not tell them? They would be furious and feel like I didn't bother their feelings.

Not telling them was part of my surprise.

When I opened the door, I see my 3 best friends feeding my daughter.

"What are you doing to her?" I asked.

And they all looked at me, frozen.

Only Jiyoon got off her chair and ran to me.

"Eomma!!!!" she shouted and hugged. "Eomma, I missed you!!!!!"

I hugged and carried her up, "Oh, my baby."

Then I placed a lot of kisses on her. Hearing her giggle and telling me to stop.

"Eomma, I'm done eating dinner!! Let's play a game upstairs!!" she said.

"Hmm," I thought. "How about we check your presents then we play the game?"

She clapped her hands, "Yay! Yay! Yay!!!!"

I put her down, making her stand on her 2 feet, "Go change into your night clothes first and brush your teeth, arasseo?"

"Arasseo!" she smiled and run up the stairs.

Then my head turned to the 3 girls, still frozen.

I put my hands on my waist and laughed, "You guys look hideous!"

Lisa unfroze first and touch her throat.

"A-Am I seeing a ghost?" she asked with a dry voice.

"Ani, ghosts aren't real," Jisoo said, with her eyes still looking at me.

"Oh, my gosh," Jennie said in English.

I clapped my hands really loud and snapped my fingers, "Hello? Is anyone gonna greet me?"

Jennie unfroze and looked at me, "Oh, my God. Park Chaeyoung!!!!! You have a lot of explaining, young lady!"

"How the hell did you get here? When did you even get here? I did not ask my psychic about this!" Lisa massaged her temples.

Jisoo, still with a shocked face, "This is it, my scoliosis treatment will begin. No chicken for me."

"Okay, I'll tell everything if you all would stop your drama," I said and they all turned at me, suddenly acting natural.

"So, Chae, how did you get home?" Jisoo asked, with her chin resting on her hand.

I rolled my eyes, "There were 2 planes for the Hawaiian victims. Apparently, there was 1 seat left in the 1st flight, so I took it. Jungkook picked me up in the airport, we had late lunch and he showed me around his new apartment, invited me to this ball and brought me home."

"Wait, wait, wait," Jennie said. "He invited you to the ball?"

"Yeah, why?"

Lisa took something from her bag, a small invitation, "I got an invitation, together with Bambam. Jennie-eonnie got one, too. Jisoo-eonnie got one with Jin-oppa. So you're his plus one in the ball?"
