The next day, Shaun became more showy with his feelings. Umaga pa lang ay pagpunta na siya sa bahay para sunduin ako. My parents knew about it kaya hindi na nila sinabihan ang driver ko na ihatid ako. Hanggang sa makarating kami sa school, ay hindi na siya lumayo pa sa tabi ko. He offered holding my bag for me pero tumanggi ako, other students might noticed it. I don't want to be the center of gossips.
The whole morning ay nanood lang kami ng laro ng ibang students. Kasama ang mga kaibigan namin, doon kami sa safe place nila nag-tanghalian. It was a chill day, kahit na may dalawa pang laro ang mga lalaki. Wala pa silang record ng pagkatalo kaya sobrang taas ng tsansa na maiuwi nila ang trophy kagaya namin.
"Are you cold?" Shaun softly asked nang mapansin niyang nilalamig na ako sa kwarto nila.
Busy ang mga kaibigan namin sa pinagkukuwentuhan nila habang kami ni Shaun ay magkatabi lamang sa sofa at nakikinig sa kanila. Bahagya akong tumango dahil sa naging tanong na iyon ni Shaun. He immediately stood up and went somewhere, nang makabalik siya ay may dala-dala siyang kumot na agad niyang ipinatong sa akin.
"So anong akala mo sa amin? Hindi nakakaramdam ng lamig? Si Zayieh lang ba ang tao rito tapos kami immune na sa lamig ganoon?" Raine exclaimed which made us laugh.
"She might get a cold," Shaun defended.
"Kung sana hinihinaan mo nalang yung aircon para madadamay naman kami, 'diba?" Raine fired back.
"Yeah right, good thing you suggested." Pangaasar pa ni Shaun kaya mabilis siyang binato ng unan ni Raine. Shaun and the boys laughed because of her.
We continued talking to each other while waiting for their game. Nang mag-alas dos ay dumeretso na kami sa court to watch them. "Wala bang goodluck kiss d'yan!" Kantyaw ng mga kaibigan ko sa aming dalawa ni Shaun.
"No!" Mabilis kong pagtanggi, Shaun chuckled and just messed my hair. "Kahit hug?" Shaun pleaded.
"Your fans are watching!" giit ko na nagpairap sa kanila.
"So? sooner or later they will know that I like you," he said, making me blush.
At the end, niyakap ko siya. Everyone reacted because of that, may nagagalit, may kinikilig, nagtatanong, at walang pake. Shaun's right, they will eventually know about us. Though we are not official, news has ears.
The game went smooth, sobrang lapit ng score ng dalawang tea but Shaun's team manage to win it again. Tomorrow's their finals dahil sa Friday pala ang awarding ceremony ng lahat ng sports. "Congrats!" Pagbati ko nang matapos ang unang laro nila.
Inabutan ko siya ng tubig and while he was drinking ay pinupunasan ko siya ng pawis. My friends teased us because of that, girlfriend material daw! 30 minutes lamang ang ipinahinga nila at may sumunod na ulit silang laro. I saw how exhausted Shaun was after winning the second game.
"Get rest when you get home, make sure you'll take a hot bath." Paalala ko bago kami mag-uwian.
"Of course, let's go. I'll drive you home." He took my bag again and followed him as we got to the parking lot.
He opened the car door for me, I waved goodbye to my friends before going inside. "Do you want a burger? Are you hungry?" Shaun asked. Pumayag naman ako, maya-maya lamang ay pumasok siya sa drive thru ng McDonalds. He bought 2 whoppers and 2 cokes.
"Feel ko MVP ka," I said while eating. He smiled, "You think so?"
"Yeah, puro 3 points ka kaya kada game mo. You play well," I giggled.
"I'm inspired, that is why." Pagbanat nito at natawa dahil sa pag-irap ko.
"I am sure you will bring the trophy tomorrow," I assured him.
"Talaga, para goals tayo na MVP." He winked.
"Whatever! Let's go na, so you could go home early and rest." Aya ko nang makitang tapos na siyan kumain.
Agad niya naman akong sinunod, naubos ko na yung food ko bago pa kami makarating sa bahay. Mom was waiting for us outside again kaya nagmano pa muna siya bago umalis. "Looks life our driver will lose his job. May naghahatid-sundo na sa iyo." Mom teased.
"You let him kasi!" I pouted.
"Nagpaalam siya eh. Don't worry, anak. I can sense that Shaun has good intentions for you. I trust him." Mom assured me.
For real? She just met him the other day then she now trusted Shaun? Well, I can blame my mother. Shaun is really a good guy kahit na wala siyang ibang ginawa noon kundi sungit -sungitan ako. But when his ex started getting attention from him, he was there to protect me. Well, Marielle now is in lie low. Nakakasalubong ko naman siya sa campus but she would never approach me. It is a good thing, payapa ako sa campus. Though I am already friends with her, still my friends do not like her.
"Take a bath, Anak. I will call you when dinner is ready." Mom said and immediately followed her.
Nang makaakyat sa kwarto ay mabilisan akong naligo at tinuyo ang buhok. Humiga naman ako sa kama para magpa-antok. I took my phone and scrolled through my gallery. I have lots of shot of Shaun while he was playing earlier. I sent him some of the good shots and he immediately replied.
Shaun: I look good in there :)
Zayieh: Of course, you always do.
Natagalan pa bago siya naka-reply sa akin pero dinalaw na ako ng antok. Nagising na lamang ako dahil ginigising na ako ni Mommy. "Wake up, baka wala ka ng maitulog mamaya." She said.
I immediately fixed my hair and followed her downstairs. Daddy and the twins were waiting for us in the dining area. I kissed them on their cheeks dahil wala naman sila kanina nung umuwi ako. Probably, they just got home from work.
"Are we still allowed to watch your suitor's game tomorrow?" Dad asked while we were eating.
"He would love to, Dad. But I still don't know yet the exact time of his game." I answered.
"Balita ko, hinatid sundo ka." Kuya Dylann teased.
"Oh ano naman? palibhasa hindi mo ginagawa sa girlfriend mo eh!" I fired back,
"He doesn't have one," pagsingit ni Kuya Daniell, "And so are you" rebat ni Kuuya Dylann.
"Kailan ba kayo magkaka-girlfriend, boys? Wala pa rin ba kayong ipapakilala sa amin?" Mom said which made Dad laugh.
"Kapag pinromote na ako ni Daddy sa company," Kuya Dylann winked.
"Unfair!" Kuya Daniell protested.
"Hayaan mo na sila Mommy, no one can handle their ugali! May isang isip bata, may isang napakasungit." I shrugged my shoulders.
Tumawa kaming tatlo nina Mommy at Daddy nang samaan ako ng tingin ng kambal. What! It's real! Matatatanda na sila Kuya, si Mommy na nga ang nagtutulak sa kanila na magka-girlfriend. But the truth is, they really want to take over Dad's company kaya mas focus muna sila sa trabaho ngayon. They would be no rival between us three sa pagkakaroon ng mana kina Mommy at Daddy kasi sa dinami-dami ng business na hawak nila ay kami pa ang mahihirapang mamili kung anong gusto naming patakbuhin.
