(Taehyung's POV)
The afternoon was quiet surprisingly. I expected it to be a little bit more stressful, but it was actually quite relaxing.
The baby was content with just laying in my arms, so I spent that time locked in one position and watching some boring tv show. I shouldn't be complaining, though.
I shut my eyes, throwing my head back on the rest of the rocker. I can't fall asleep...but I couldn't help myself feeling drowsy. My eyes got heavy before I could hear the creaking of the wooden floor.
My cousin came walking quietly, her hair up in a messy bun and she wore her glasses this time. She looked a little bit more awake, which meant she finally slept and that made my heart happy for her.
"Was she a handful?" My cousin quietly asks as I shift the baby into her arms.
I shake my head. "Nope, she slept peacefully. She seemed content with how we were."
"Maybe I should have you babysit more often," Naeun laughed a little as she looked down at her sleepy baby. "She's never stayed asleep that long before."
We stayed quiet for a second as Naeun placed the baby in a rocker that would move on its own. As she sat down, she looked at me. "Thank you for watching her so I could sleep. But, you weren't here to babysit for me. You needed to talk to me about something..." she adjusts herself to be comfy on the sofa next to me.
I sighed, looking back down at the ground while cracking an awkward smile. "Yeah...about that..."
"What did you do now, Taehyung?" Naeun asked, sounding like a parent preparing for disappointment.
"Alright, now you gotta hear me out. This wasn't intentional, I didn't think this would happen. And now I'm in a situation but I have a lot of faith. So just trust me on this..." I began to prepare myself to speak.
"You're already worrying me...you told me when you moved out here you'd stay out of trouble, cousin..." Naeun said, and with the look in her eye I could tell she was cautious about what could come out of my mouth.
"And I have been on my best behavior, Naeun. I told you to trust me on this." I say to her, raising a brow.
"Is hope so, I don't want to be disappointed in you." She reminds me.
"And you won't be." I readjust myself on the rocker to get comfortable. "So...you know I've been dating this girl, right?" I ask her.
"Of course, you brought her to the wedding, right?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yes, that's the one."
"She's really cute. I'm surprised you got someone like her." My cousin said, sitting back and folding her arms.
"What is that supposed to mean?!" I asked, almost offended.
"We all know what you were, Taehyung. You attracted one type that was not healthy, and this girl seems to have her head on straight. She's innocent, pure and wholesome. I could tell just from her smile that she would be a total sweetheart. You need someone like her to keep you in line." My cousin raises a brow, and I understood her point. "She left a great first impression on me."
If only she know how not innocent Rose was, but I'll keep that to myself.
"Yeah yeah, I know I was trouble before, but I promise I'm not like that anymore." I brushed off her comment so I could finally get into what I wanted to talk about. "My relationship has been flowing. I think this is the most stable I've ever been with someone. I never thought a single person could flood my thoughts with the sappiest shit, but this girl really does that for me, it's crazy."
