(Taehyung's POV)
After leaving my dorm, I began my journey to drive home.
The drive home was quite icy and slippery. The sun goes down earlier now, and it began to snow heavily. The sky is black with patches of white fluff landing onto my windshield.
For once, my mind was focused on something else other than the fact of what I've done. I almost forgot what that felt like, to even think about something that wasn't something horrible I've done and how I can never fix it.
But, I'm glad that this chapter of my life is coming to an end.
I was also glad that I wasn't going back to school but instead, coming home to Rose.
And honestly? I can get used to that.

I pull into the driveway of my home, stepping out of the car and grabbing the one bag I had that I brought with to school. The car beeps and the lights flash to indicate that the doors are locked and I prepare to head inside.
The door creaks open as I turn the knob, and I am greeted with a rush of warm air.
I place the bag on the ground while an excited Yeontan jumps at my knees.
"Aish, dog." I grumble under my breath as I take the leaping puppy into my arms and his wet tongue leaves drooly kisses on the tip of my nose.
"Taehyung, you're home." I hear my mother's sweet tone which draws my attention to our living room.
On the leather sofa sits my mother and Rose. The sight alone is a shock, since my mother had harsh words when all of this happened. But, I think for the sake of everything happening, they're coming to realize we need to get along.
"I see you two ladies are comfortable." I pass, setting the puppy down on the ground and make my way to the living room area. "Sorry it took so long. I had a couple stops along the way."
"You did interrupt an important conversation." My mother passed back, her lips taking a gentle sip of the tea out of her cup. Her head nods towards the kettle for me to help myself to a cup, and I begin to pour myself one. "Rose was working hard in your bedroom to get some things together, and we ended up talking about a couple...things."
"What were you two talking about?" I ask, bringing the cup to my lips. "Or is it something I'm not allowed to know?"
"We've talked about many things." Rose's lips smile before she draws the tea cup to her lips. "Many important things that have to do with our future as a family."
"Rose is coming far into her pregnancy." My mother begins to say, and I take a seat on the ground. My heart begins to pick up a nervous beat as she starts her conversation with me. "We are 6 months into it. And while we have been faced with hardships, we must move forward together as a family."
Family.
The word stings me as it's said, my stomach literally turning into a knot. I press my lips together as my eyes fall to the tea kettle.
