H, my name is Bailey Malik. I am 17 years old and I am a senior at a high school in London, England. My best friends include Katey Horan, Brittany Styles, Julie Payne, and Alexis Tomlinson. We do anything and everything together. We even share secrets that we don't want anyone else t know. But there is one thing that I haven't told them. Heck, I haven't even told my parents. I have a passion for singing and songwriting. I want to make it a career after high school. I'm scared to tell the girls because I'm afraid they're going to laugh at me or something. I don't know.

But anyway, I haven't told my parents because they get really weird around anything that has to do with music. Or at least dad does anyway. I don't know. I can't really describe it. But all I know is that he doesn't like talking about music, doesn't like listening to music, he doesn't even like the singing competitions that you see on TV. He especially doesn't like the X Factor.

Speaking of the X Factor. They are holding auditions in London tomorrow and I decided that I was going to sneak off and go audition. My parents and the girls don't know that I'm going to audition. Mom and dad just think I'm going over to Katey's for the day. As for the girls, they think my parents want me to stay home and hang out with them. Little do they know I'm taking a taxi to the auditions.

Mom and dad are totally going to ground me for lying to them. And dad is especially going to be anger just for the sole fact that I am auditioning for the one show that he can not stand. Well, if I don't make it through, than they won't ever have to know. Well, that's if I don't air my audition. Whether I make it or not, I will be in big trouble if mom and dad watch my audition on TV and I lied to them about the audition. Hopefully all goes well and they will support me and my decision.

"BAILEY! LET'S GO! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" I heard dad yell from downstairs.

"COMING!" I replied.

Well, I guess I should get going. Cross your fingers everything will work out the way it's supposed to.
