*Lexis POV*

*The Next Day*

"Girls! Glad you're here! I hope you have a song in mind because we have a lot of rehearsing to do before next weeks big performance." Simon stated as we approached him.

The girls and I are currently at the venue to obviously meet Simon. We have to go over what song we will be singing next week for the finale and the big surprise for our fathers.

"Well, you see. We have a dilemma." I told him.

"Dilemma? What dilemma?" Simon said in a panicked tone.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Simon has been a nervous wreck ever since he found out that our fathers came to the shows. This should be fun working with Simon for the next week.

"We researched and listened to every single song our fathers put out on every single album they had and we couldn't figure out which one fit the best for the surprise next week." Katey explained.

Simon just looked at us like a deer in headlights. I think all five of us could see the panic in his face.

"I guess you could say that we need your help to find the best fit for the show next week." Brittany said.

"You need my help?" Simon asked.

"Yup." Bailey said, popping the 'p'.

"To choose a song that you will be singing at the biggest show of the season?" Simon asked, putting emphasis on the word 'you'.

"Pretty much." Julie replied.

"Why do you need my help? You girls have never let us down with the songs you chose since you have been here." Simon said in confusion.

"Well, like you said before, it's the biggest show of the season. Plus our parents will be there, so we want to make it special." I explained.

"Fine, I'll help you. Give me a second and I'll go grab my laptop from my dressing room." Simon said before leaving to go get his laptop.

"Wow. That took less convincing than I thought." Katey stated with a hint of shock in her voice.

"Yup." Brittany said, popping the 'p'.

The girls and I waited up on stage for a good five minutes before Simon was finally back with his laptop.

"Okay girls. Let's find you a song, shall we." Simon stated before setting his laptop on the piano that was on stage for some reason.

We spent the next hour or so listening to each song before Simon finally narrowed down our choices.

"Okay, in my opinion, you could go with a number of songs. Though my top choices are 'Strong', 'You and I', or 'Through the Dark'." Simon suggested.

"Okay. Let's listen to those songs again and us girls will decide which song we will sing at next weeks show. Sound good?" Bailey suggested and the rest of us nodded in agreement.

We then took the next few moments to listen to every song closely. And once we were finished, we didn't even need to discuss it. We all unanimously chose which song we wanted to sing next week.

"'Through the Dark'." All five of us said in unison without hesitation as soon as the last song was finished.

"Well, that was fast." Simon stated.

"It is kind of the obvious choice." Julie stated in a 'duh' tone.

"How so?" Simon asked out of curiosity.
