*Simon's POV*

"So boys and ladies, I would like to talk to you." I told them.

"About what?" All ten of them said in unison.

I now see where the girls get it from when they all talk in unison.

"About having One Direction perform a song at the finale result show tomorrow night." I stated and all ten jaws dropped to the floor.

Well, their response could definitely go either way.

*Niall's POV*

"Are you serious?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yup." He replied, popping the 'p'.

"Why would we perform on the X Factor finale? We haven't performed in years?" Liam asked.

"Plus, we're not even a band anymore." Harry added.

"Because an guest performer dropped out last minute and we need to fill the spot." Simon replied.

"So we're you're back up plan?" Zayn asked in annoyance.

"Relax, the guest performers are booked way before we know who is going into the finale. Your daughters just so happened to make it to the finale, which brought you all here in the first place." Simon explained sternly.

"Our daughters?" Louis asked in confusion.

"Oui, didn't the last names sound familiar when they announced them tonight?" Simon asked and we all stared at him blankly in response.

"Geeze, you really need to catch on. Alexis Tomlinson, Bailey Malik, Julie Payne, Katey Horan, and Brittany Styles. They are otherwise known as The Next Direction." Simon explained and our jaws dropped to the floor.

"That's your daughter." We all said to each other in disbelief.

Simon just face palmed his face and shook his head.

"So are you guys in or not?" Simon asked in annoyance.

"Sorry, but Niall doesn't like anything to do with music or the music industry, especially the X Factor. So I don't think he would be joining." Brianna said, answering for me, which caused her to get dirty looks from the boys and even their wives.

"Actually, I think I might enjoy it. It's only for one night, right?" I said, earning a dirty look from my wife. Definitely going to get into a huge fight later, but it's fine.

"Niall -" Brianna started, but I cut her off.

"Listen, I know you are not into music and anything that has to do with it, but not everyone shares your beliefs. At least not anymore. Ever since we first saw Katey audition on the X Factor when she auditioned, I slowly started enjoying music again. It is because of Katey that I actually like music again. So I would like a chance to do what I love and sing in front of a crowd. At least for one night. If you don't like it than you can go back home." I snapped in annoyance.

The boys, their wives, and even Simon looked at me in complete shock. I don't think they ever saw me snap like that.

"We'll talk about this later. But you will not be going on that stage tomorrow." She retorted.

"Think what you want, but you will see me on that stage with or without the boys." I told her.

She just sighed in annoyance and stormed out of the room.

"So, is anyone else in? Or am I the only one performing tomorrow night?" I asked once my wife left the room.

Everyone quickly got over their shock and responded.

"I'm in." Louis stated.

"So is Harry." Harry's wife added.

"So am I." Liam said.

"Eh, why not? Seems fun." Zayn said.

"Perfect. I have the song picked out for you. You will be singing 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' from your fourth album. And you will have images and videos of all of you from your X Factor days up until the present. The images and videos will include your time as a band and your time as parents. Oh and you better start rehearsing tonight because the crowd will be filled with One Direction fans again." Simon explained excitedly.

"You cancelled a guest performer just so you can have us perform one last time didn't you?" I asked matter-of-factly.

"Why would you say that?" Simon asked in confusion.

"Because it seems like you had this all planned out for weeks." Louis stated.

"Fine. So what if I did? I got excited okay. I haven't seen you guys in years and wanted to listen to perform one last time. Is that too much to ask." Simon ranted, which caused us all to laugh.

There was no doubt that we agreed to what Simon had planned for us tomorrow night. I know that it is my fault that Brianna doesn't like anything to do with music anymore, but I feel like she shouldn't be that mad that I am going to be performing one song tomorrow night with my former band. Speaking of my former band, I can't believe I am in the same room with them. Hopefully we have time to catch up before we reunite with our daughters later.

"Wait!" Louis screamed abruptly, shaking me from my thoughts, causing us all to jump.

"What?" We all whined.

"Do our daughters know that we're performing tomorrow night?" Louis asked and all of our eyes went wide. I guess none of us thought about that.

"No, of course not. They all think you all don't like anything to do with music or the music industry, especially the X Factor. They're paranoid that you all are going to find them and drag them out kicking and screaming." Simon replied.

"That's ridiculous. They're amazing. We just wish they would have told us sooner that they could sing." Harry's wife said.

"I'm sorry, I don't think we've been introduced properly. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've been properly introduced to any of your wives. I'm Simon, nice to meet you all." Simon said as he shook each of the boys wives hands.

"I'm Jamie, Harry's wife and Brittany's mom."

"I'm Jessica, Zayn's wife and Bailey's mom."

"I'm Emily, Liam's wife and Julie's mom."

"I'm Michelle, Louis' wife and Alexis' mom."

"And the one screaming at me because I want to perform tomorrow is my wife. Her name is Brianna and she's Katey's mom." I explained.

"Ah, okay. Now that we've all been introduced properly, I can now properly respond to Jamie's statement. They didn't tell you sooner because they knew how their fathers felt about music and were afraid that you all wouldn't let them audition and even pursue their dreams as singer/songwriters. Heck they didn't even tell anyone that they could sing, not even each other. They didn't know that the other could sing until they all found each other at the auditions weeks ago." Simon explained.

"Wait, did you say that they even didn't tell each other? Why would they tell each other?" Louis asked in confusion.

"Really?" Simon asked in annoyance.

"What?" Louis whined.

"They were best friends way before they auditioned for the X Factor. Didn't they go over to your houses or something?" Simon asked in a 'really' tone.

We didn't say anything in response. We knew Simon was right and didn't want to pursue this any further. For the rest of the night we talked about tomorrow's performance and how it was all going to go down without our daughters knowing. This should be fun.
