*Katey Horan's POV*

When they called my name, I thought I was going to puke. Even though the girls told me that I was going to be fine, I still feel like I'm going to puke everywhere.

Once we were side stage, the crew member handed me a mic and gave me instructions.

"Okay, when I tell you to, you're going to walk out and stand on the X." The crew member instructed and I just nodded in response.

A moment later, the crew member basically pushed me out on stage. And as soon as I walked out on stage, the crowd started to cheer loudly. At the judges table was Ed Sheeran, Simon Cowell, and Sam Smith. Great, now I'm really nervous.

"Hello there. How are you?" Sam asked as I took my place on the X, just as that crew member told me to.

"I'm a bit nervous actually." I replied, creating a reaction from the audience.

"Well, there's no reason to be nervous. Just relax and have fun." Sam replied with a smile.

"Before you begin, can you please tell us your name, how old you are, and where you're from." Simon explained.

"My name is Katey Horan, I'm 17 years old, and I'm from London, England." I replied.

I swear, as I was introducing myself, both Ed and Simon's eyes popped out of there head. But their reaction was gone as quickly as it came. Huh, I wonder why they looked surprised.

"And what song will you be singing for us today?" Ed Sheeran asked, trying his best to recover from the shock that I apparently caused.

"I'll be singing 'Me, Myself, & Time' by Demi Lovato." I said.

"Perfect. Let's here it." Sam said.

I nodded and signaled them to start playing the music. And as soon as I started the first verse, the crowd went wild.

"I can make the rain stop if I wanna
Just by my attitude.
I can take my laptop, record a snapshot,
And change a point of view."

As soon as I finished the first verse, I took a quick glance at the judges and both Simon and Ed had huge smiles on their faces. I mean Sam did too, but Simon and Ed were smiling from ear to ear. Plus they were the one's that looked all shocked when I told them my name.

"I just entered this brand-new world,
And I'm so open-hearted.
I know I've got a long way to go,
But I'm—I'm just getting started."

As I continued the song, the crowd was cheering louder and louder. And by the end of the song, everyone was on their feet, even the judges.

"That was amazing Katey! I really enjoyed it. You have an amazing voice." Sam said with a huge smile on his face once the crowd calmed down a bit.

"Let me ask you something Katey. Have you ever performed in front of a crowd before?" Simon asked me.

"No. This is actually my first time performing in front of anyone." I replied shyly.

"Honestly, I'm surprised that this is your first time performing, let alone performing in front of a crowd. I would have thought you performed before considering how comfortable you looked up on stage. And your voice is just absolutely amazing. I loved it. Great job." Simon explained.

"I can't believe you never performed for anyone before. You're absolutely talented. You're definitely one of my favorites so far." Ed said with a smile on his face.

That was good feedback, but I just need them to vote already. The suspense is killing me.

"Okay, let's vote. Sam." Simon said.

"It's a yes from me." Sam said with a smile.

"Ed." Simon said.

"It's an obvious yes from me." He said.

"And just like that, you have your third yes. We'll see you in the next round." Simon said with a smile.

I immediately grinned from ear to ear as the crowd cheered wildly.

"Thank you so much." I said before walking off stage.

Wait until the girls hear about this.

"So, how'd it go?" Julie asked as I walked up to the girls.

"Guess who's going to the next round?" I said with a huge grin appearing on my face.

The girls started screaming and jumping up and down as they earned weird looks from others around us. They immediately brought me in for a group hug as I laughed at their reaction.

"We are so proud of you." Brittany said happily as they all pulled away from the hug.

"Definitely." Lexi said.

"Now the rest of us just have to make it through so we can go to the next round with you." Bailey said with a slight smile.

"Yup." I said, popping the 'p'.

"Alexis Tomlinson! You're on deck!" We heard the crew member shout.

"Well, I guess it's my turn. Wish me luck." Lexi said as she followed the crew member to the place I just came from.

"Good luck!" The four of us called out to her.

I really hope she makes it through to the next round.
