*Bailey's POV*

"Okay, they're ready for you. When you get out there, stand on the X." The crew member instructed me.

When I arrived backstage, it wasn't too long before the judges were ready for me. And when I walked out on stage, the crowd cheered as if on cue. As I made my way to the X, I noticed that Simon Cowell, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran. Good group of judges they got this year, don't they?

"Hello, what's your name?" Sam asked as soon as I took my place on the X.

"My name is Bailey Malik." I said and I swear Simon and Ed gave each other a look before turning their attention back to me.

"And can you tell us your age and where you're from?" Ed asked.

"I'm 17 years old and I am from London, England." I said as Simon and Ed shared another look.

"And what will you be singing for us today?" Simon asked.

"I will be singing 'Say You Won't Let Go' by James Arthur." I said.

"Great. Can't wait to hear it. Start whenever you're ready." Sam said.

I nodded and signaled them to start the song. And once I opened up my mouth and sung, the crowd immediately went wild as they stood up on their feet and cheer.

"I met you in the dark
You lit me up
You made me feel as though
I was enough
We danced the night away
We drank too much
I held your hair back when
You were throwing up

Then you smiled over your shoulder
For a minute I was stone-cold sober
I pulled you closer to my chest
And you asked me to stay over
I said, I already told you
I think that you should get some rest"

As I continued the song, the crowd continued to cheer me on as the judges smiled proudly at me. Once I was finished with the song, the crowd went wild. They were all on their feet, clapping and screaming. Heck, even the judges were on their feet clapping.

"Bailey, that was absolutely amazing. You are very talented. You should be proud." Ed said after the crowd calmed down a bit.

"Absolutely incredible. I enjoyed every minute of it. I am sure I am going to be seeing a lot more of you i the future." Sam said with a smile.

"Truly incredible. You are very talented. I know for a fact that I am going to be seeing a lot more of you because it is a yes from me." Simon said as he began the voting process.

"It's a yes from me. Well done." Ed said smiling.

"And it's a yes from me. Congratulations." Sam said, also smiling.

I immediately smiled from ear to ear at their vote. Wait until the girls hear about this. They're going to freak at the fact that we all made it through to the next round.

"Thank you all so much." I said happily as I turned to leave the stage.

But as soon as I turned toward the way I came from earlier, Simon stopped me.

"Excuse me, sorry, I just have to ask." Simon said as I turned my attention back towards him.

"What's up?" I asked.

"There were four girls who auditioned earlier. Alexis Tomlinson, Brittany Styles, Katey Horan, and Julie Payne. Do you happen to have any relation to them?" He asked me as he read their names off of a piece of paper.

"Um. They're my best friends. Why do you ask?" I asked him in confusion.

Why is he asking about the girls? I guess Sam and Ed were thinking the same thing because they also gave him a confused look.

"Are they still here with you?" He asked curiously.

"Yes, they're out in the waiting room. Why?" I asked, still confused to as what this had to do with anything.

"Why don't you five stick around for a bit so we could talk." Simon told me.

I just nodded in confusion as I exited the stage and made my way over to the girls.

"Hey, what took you so long? Your dad has been calling off the hook. I finally had to answer and tell him we all ended up meeting at the mall. And the reason why you didn't answer your own phone was because you were in the bathroom." Julie said in a panic.

"Yeah, I'll call him later." I said, still confused as to why Simon wanted to talk to all five of us.

"What's up?"

"Did you make it?"

"Oh my gosh! She didn't make it!"

"I was so sure that we were all going to make it."

They all started rambling in a panic, scared that I didn't make. I gave them a second vent whatever they felt necessary before I finally cut in.

"GUYS! I MADE IT THROUGH!" I yelled, finally interrupting their rant.

"Then why do you seem so distracted?" Katey asked in confusion.

"Simon wants to talk to all five of us." I said bluntly.
