*Julie's POV*

We are now into our second week of live shows and the girls and I have been working nonstop to ensure that we make it to the next round. Ever since we decided that we wanted to surprise our fathers at the finale, the girls and I have been working day and night to make sure our performance for this week was perfect. And at our final rehearsal earlier today, Simon seemed very pleased. So I am kind of hoping that we do well tonight. We have to. We want to reunite our fathers, even though we are most likely going to be in so much trouble when we do.

"Is it just me or do you girls feel less nervous than you did last week?" Bailey asked suddenly.

"Yup. Definitely feel less nervous." I replied.

"I think we all feel less nervous than last week." Brittany stated and Katey and Lexi nodded in agreement.

"To be honest, I think it has to do with the fact that we want this more than ever." Lexi said.

"What do you mean?" Katey asked in confusion.

"Didn't we want this more than ever from the beginning?" Bailey added.

"Yeah we wanted it more than ever right from the beginning. But ever since we decided that we wanted to surprise and reunite our fathers at the finale, I've noticed that we are more determined than ever to get to that point." Lexi explained.

"She's right. I've noticed it too. Especially in rehearsals this week." Simon said as he suddenly appeared out of nowhere, making us all jump.

"First of all, don't do that. You literally had me so scared that I jumped. Second of all, aren't you supposed to be out with the rest of the judges?" I told Simon.

"Sorry. And yes I am. But we're on a commercial break and I heard you girls are next and I just wanted to wish my favorite contestants good luck." Simon explained.

"Simon! Don't say that too loud. The other contestants might hear you." Brittany said in a panic.

"Oh relax. Everyone knows that you girls are my favorites. It is quite obvious." Simon replied.

Brittany opened her mouth to reply, but was cut off by one of the crew members.

"The Next Direction make your way to the stage! You're next!" The crew member yelled.

"Well, I guess that's us." Lexi stated.

"I guess that is. Good luck girls." Simon told us before making his way back out to the rest of the judges.

"Thank you!" We all called out in unison.

"You girls ready?" Katey asked.

"Yup." The rest of us replied in unison, popping the 'p'.

The five of us made our way to the stage where the host was talking to the audience both in the venue tonight and those watching at home. And after a moment, the host finally introduced us.

"Next up we have a very talented group from London, England. The song they chose tonight is dedicated to each other because they have been best friends since middle school and they feel they are going to be friends for life. Ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome to the stage, The Next Direction, singing 'Always Be Together' by Little Mix." The host announced to the audience before the five of us went running on stage. Less than a moment later, the song started playing and soon enough we opened our mouths to sing.

As we continued to sing the song, the crowd continued to cheer as they stood up on their feet. I could tell the judges were enjoying it also because they were all smiling from ear to ear, especially Simon. And as the song finished the crowd was on their feet cheering and clapping as the judges gave us a standing ovation.

"Girls, I don't know what happened to you in the last week, but somehow that was even better than last week. This performance just proved that you girls are here to win. Honestly, if the fans at home don't vote for you, they're crazy because that was your best performance of the season." Sam said excitedly as he sat there smiling from ear to ear.

"Like Sam said, that was your best performance of the season. I don't know what happened since your last performance, but you girls seem more determined than ever to win. I can't wait to see what else you have in store." Ed said happily.

"Girls, I have been watching you rehearse this song for the past week and let me tell you something, this was the best performance of the song yet. I loved it. You girls are constantly making me proud. I cannot wait to work with you girls in the future." Simon said proudly with a smile on his face.

"Thank you so much!" We said in unison with smiles on our faces.

Once the judges were done giving their feedback, the host came out and talked to us for a quick second before we returned backstage.

"Well, only a few more shows until the finale." Bailey said once we were off stage.

"Let's just cross our fingers that we get there." I stated and the others nodded in agreement.

For the rest of the show, the girls and I hung out backstage as the other contestants performed. And once the show was over, we finally were able to leave and go back to the hotel. The girls and I immediately went to bed as soon as we got to our hotel. We were all exhausted and we knew we had to get up early to do a few tasks that Simon has lined up for us before the result show tomorrow. I cannot believe there is only a few more shows until the finale. It feels like we just started. Well, at least there is only a few more shows before we get to tell our fathers what we have been really up to these past couple of months. Hopefully they won't be too mad.
