As I waited anxiously backstage, the crew member gave me a microphone and gave me instructions to walk out on stage and stand on the X when she told me. To be honest, I'm quite nervous. Did Katey and Lexi feel this nervous when they were up? Well, they made it through. So I guess that's a plus.

"You're on." I heard the crew member say before I was pushed on stage.

As I continued to walk out on stage, the crowd cheered and I took notices as who the judges were this year. Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and Simon Cowell. Huh, good set of judges.

"Hello, how are you?" Ed asked as I took my place on the X.

"A bit nervous. How about yourself?" I replied honestly.

"I'm doing great." Ed said with a smile.

"Can you please tell us your name, age, and where you are from?" Simon said, moving things along.

"My name is Julie Payne, I'm 17 years old, and I am from London, England." I replied, which caused Simon and Ed to give each other a quick look before turning their attention back to me.

"So, Julie, what will you be singing for us today?" Sam asked.

"I will actually be singing 'Stay With Me' by Sam Smith." I replied with a shy smile.

"Lovely. I can't wait to hear it." Sam said with a slight smile before motioning for me to continue.

I signaled for them to start the song and off I went.

"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand
But I still need love 'cause I'm just a man
These nights never seem to go to plan
I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?

As I continued on with the song, I noticed that Sam was smiling widely. I guess he's liking the song choice. As the song finished, the crowd cheered loudly and everyone was on their feet, even the judges.

When the crowd finally calmed down, I couldn't hold back my smile as Sam began.

"Julie, that was incredible. I absolutely loved it. You probably sang that song better than I could. I hope to see you in the next round." Sam said with a wide smile.

"That was absolutely amazing. I loved it. I really hope to see you in the next round. I'm a big fan." Ed said with a smile.

"Julie, you are definitely one of my favorites so far. I have a feeling we're going to be seeing you in the next round. You were amazing. I'm going to start off the vote by giving you a yes." Simon said, which immediately put a smile on my face.

"It's a yes from me. I can't wait to see you perform in the next round." Ed said with a smile.

"And it's an obvious yes from. See you in the next round." Sam said with a big smile on his face.

"Thank you all so much." I said before walking off the stage.

I can't wait to tell the girls.

"So, guess who made it to the next round?" I said as I approached the girls after a few moments of walking.

Once again, the girls screamed as they jumped up and down and hugged me.

"I swear you girls are going to loose your voice." I say sarcastically.

"Oh hush." Brittany said as we sat down, waiting for the next one of us to be called.

After about an hour and a half, the crew member finally came back out to call the next person.

"Brittany Styles! You're on deck!" The crew member shouted.

"Well, here goes nothing." She said before standing up and following the crew member backstage.

I really hope she makes it through because I really need her there in the next round. Though, I'm not worried. I have never heard her sing before, but I'm sure she's going to do great. I'm sure she's going to make into the next round.
