Live Show #1

*Chapter 22: Live Show #1*

*Katey's POV*

*Live Show*

So tonight is our first live show and we have never been so nervous. Yeah we were nervous before we performed in the previous rounds. But the live shows are a whole different story. We are performing tonight and will not be getting the results until tomorrow night. Plus we are going to be performing in front of a much larger crowd than we did at our auditions. And that is not including whoever is going to be watching at home.

"The Next Direction! Make your way to the stage! You're up next!" We heard the crew member yelled, shaking me from my thoughts.

"Well girls, it's now or never." Lexi said before we made our way to the stage.

Once we were at the stage, we heard the host talking to the crowd before he finally announced us.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Up next, singing 'Long Live' by Taylor Swift, it's The Next Direction!" The host announced before we all ran out on stage.

"[Alexis]

I said remember this moment
In the back of my mind
The time we stood with our shaking hands
The crowds in stands went wild

[Bailey]

We were the kings and the queens
And they read off our names
The night you danced like you knew
Our lives would never be the same

The song continued and the crowd was on their feet cheering. I got a glimpse of the judges and they were smiling like crazy. And once the song finished, the crowd was still on their feet cheering loudly as the judges stood up and smiled as they clapped in response. This caused not only me, but the other girls to smile widely.

"Girls, that was amazing. Like I've said before, you are all incredible singers. You girls are amazing singers individually, but as a group, you are incredible. I am really glad we decided to put you girls into a group together. By the crowds response to that performance, I can assure you girls that we will be seeing you next week." Ed said with a wide smile.

"Like Ed said, that was amazing. I really enjoyed watching you girls perform and I cannot wait to see what else you girls hav in store." Sam said, grinning from ear to ear.

"Girls, that was truly incredible. That was a great song choice. Watching you perform, it looked like you girls belonged on the stage. With your talent, I believe that you girls will go far." Simon said with a huge smile on his face.

"Thank you all so much!" We all said in unison.

Just then, the host came out and talked with us for a moment before we exited the stage. To be quite honest, I don't remember what he said. I was playing back the performance in my head and I thought we did pretty well.

"Well girls, all that is left is the results tomorrow night." I said as soon as we exited the stage.

"Yup." The rest of them said in unison, popping the 'p'.

"So are you guys nervous for tomorrow night? Or is it just me?" Brittany asked.

"Definitely nervous." Bailey replied.

"I'm definitely a nervous wreck." Julie added.

"Probably not going to sleep tonight because of the nerves." Lexi stated.

"100% nervous." I added.

"Good. Glad to know it's not just me." Brittany stated.

For the rest of the show we hung out in the lounge. And after a couple of hours, the show finally ended and we were able to leave to go back to our hotel. As soon as I got to my hotel room, I immediately laid down in my bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was fast asleep. Tonight, I fell asleep thinking about if dad would be proud of the performance, even though he does not like anything to do with music or the music industry.

*Niall's POV*

It's been a few weeks since I saw Katey's audition on the X Factor. And since her audition, she has been put into a group with four other girls. I think those are her friends, I'm not quite sure though. But it was weird, they all auditioned as individuals, then all of the sudden they were a group by the next round. I was very confused, but I went with it. Anyway, my wife and I watched their performance tonight and they were amazing. I am so beyond proud of her. I honestly can't wait until she comes home when this is all over so I can tell her how that I watched her on the X Factor and how proud I am of her. I know she might still think that I don't like anything to do with music, but it is slowly but surely growing on me again.

*Harry's POV*

So Brittany is now in a group with four other girls. I think those are her friends, I am not quite sure though. I thought it was weird that they had all auditioned as individuals and then were suddenly a group by bootcamp, but I stopped questioning it once I watched them perform together. Tonight, Jamie and I watched the girls first live performance. They were absolutely incredible. I honestly believe that they will make it to the next round. I can't wait until I finally reunite with Brittany so I can tell her that I watched her on the X Factor and that I am so proud of her. Though, she might be confused since I made it clear on my opinion on music. But, ever since I started watching Brittany on the X Factor, I have slowly started liking music once again.

*Zayn's POV*

Okay, first of all, as you might of heard, Bailey is in a group with four other girls. I think that was what Simon wanted to talk to them about after Bailey finished her audition. Those girls are Bailey's best friends. Let me tell you something right now, they were incredible. I sat there with my wife with a smile on my face as they performed in their first live show. I could not be more proud. I can't wait to tell Bailey in person of how proud I am of her. I hope these girls make it to the next live show. They deserve it.

*Liam's POV*

Julie and her group were amazing tonight. Scratch that. They were incredible. I totally believe that they will be on next week's live show. I cannot wait to see what else they have in store. As Julie and her group performed in their first live show, I couldn't help but feel so incredibly proud. I cannot wait to reunite with Julie to let her know how proud I am of her, though she might be slightly confused. The last she remembers, I don't like anything to do with music, especially the X Factor.

*Louis' POV*

Alexis and her group were outstanding! I enjoyed watching every minute of their performance. They definitely had my vote as soon as the show ended. I have no doubt in my mind that they will be heading to the second round of live shows. Alexis may be slightly surprised when she finds out that I have been watching her on the X Factor ever since the audition, but it's fine. It's fine because when she finds out, I'll tell her that I am extremely proud of her. She belongs on that stage. Who am I to stop her?

Hey guys!

So I decided to skip right to the first live show.

I didn't think it was necessary to write a chapter leading up to the live shows when I wrote a chapter on each individual member of One Direction.

As for the boys points of view at the end of this chapter, I figured that I'd add them for this chapter because I skipped straight to the live shows.

I don't think I'll add the boys points of views after every single live show or result show.

Anyway, I hope you are enjoying the story so far and I hope you enjoyed the chapter.
