*Bailey's POV*

So yesterday we performed at our first live show of the competition and tonight we are receiving the results. The girls and I are currently sitting backstage nervously waiting for the crew member to call the contestants to the stage. I think it is safe to say that all the contestants are a nervous wreck as we wait for the results. It was very silent backstage as the crew member finally came backstage.

"All contestants to the stage for the results!" The crew member yelled before walking off.

"Well girls, whatever happens, just know we all did our best and that is all that matters." I told the girls before walking toward the stage.

Once on stage, we were still on commercial break. So Simon gave us a brief pep talk before the crew member finally told us that we were going on the air in three seconds.

"And we're back in 3...2...1..." The crew member said right before we finally got back from commercial break.

"And we're back here on the X Factor and we finally have the results for you right here." The host said.

The host opened up the envelope in his hand and then turned his attention back to the camera.

"And the contestant leaving the competition tonight is..." The host said before briefly pausing before announcing the person leaving the competition. "Jay Smith."

The girls and I let out a breath that we did not know we were holding before smiling from ear to ear.

"Well everyone that is our show tonight. We'll see you back here next week." The host said before we were off the air.

As soon as we were off the air, the girls and I gave each other a group hug before bringing Simon into the hug as well.

"Well done girls. I am so proud of you." Simon said with a wide smile, once we pulled out of the hug.

"Thank you." We all said in unison, grinning from ear to ear.

"Now, why don't we go get something to eat to celebrate you girls making it to the second live show." Simon suggested and we all nodded.

Within minutes we were outside in the car we came in, heading to a restaurant down the street from the hotel. Once we arrived at the restaurant the driver parked the car and we headed inside where we were immediately seated at a table in back.

"So when do you girls want to surprise your fathers?" Simon asked abruptly after we ordered our food.

"Well, that was blunt." I stated.

"Sorry. I am just curious because we have to figure out your song choices a week in advance. Plus I need to give Paul the heads up on when to go get your fathers. And there would be any other details we would have to straighten out before then." Simon explained.

"Okay, well, why don't us girls try and make it to the finale and we can surprise them then." Lexi suggested.

"I like that idea." Brittany stated.

"Same." The rest of us responded in unison.

"Okay then. It's settled. You girls are going to surprise them at the finale. But you are going to have to work very hard to get there. You girls are up against a lot of good contestants." Simon told us and we just nodded.

"Yeah, well, let's cross our fingers that we get it that far." Katey stated.

"Yup." Julie agreed, popping the 'p'.

"Given that we are surprising your fathers at the finale, choose what song you would like to sing and we'll make it happen. Just let me know a week or two in advance just so we could get everything ready." Simon told us and we nodded in agreement.

Well, I guess the girls and I are going to be working night and day to get ourselves to the finale. Let's hope we can do it. I really want to see the look on their faces when they find out that we know about their little secret and that we have become best friends with their former bandmates daughters. Yup, we are definitely going to be grounded for the rest of our lives after pulling this little surprise off. Let's hope our punishments aren't too severe.
