*Brittany's POV*

I am currently waiting patiently backstage. When I was handed the microphone, I was told to wait until instructed to walk out on stage and stand on the X. To be quite honest, once I was backstage, I didn't have time to be nervous. Everything happened so fast. One second I was standing back waiting to be told to walk out on stage and the next thing I know, I'm being pushed out on stage. And then suddenly I was standing on the X with Ed Sheeran, Simon Cowell, and Sam Smith staring back at me.

"Hello, how are you doing today?" Simon asked.

"I'm doing well. How about you?" I replied.

"I'm doing well. Can you please tell us your name, age, and where you are from?" Simon said, trying to move this along.

"My name is Brittany Styles, I'm 17 years old, and I am from London, England." I said, and I swear Simon and Ed shared a look as I introduced myself. But it happened so fast, that I'm not even sure it happened.

"And what will you be singing for us today?" Sam asked.

"I will actually be singing 'I'm Not The Only One' by Sam Smith." I said with a shy smile, earning a grin from Sam Smith himself.

"Great. We can't wait to hear it. Start whenever you're ready." Ed said.

I nodded and signaled for them to start playing the music. And once I opened my mouth, cheers erupted throughout the venue.

I can't believe you let me down
But the proof's in the way it hurts

For months on end I've had my doubts

As I continued on with the song, I could see all of the judges smiling from ear to ear, especially Sam. I guess I'm doing pretty well, considering they were all smiling like they were proud or something. Sam might have been able singing along a few times. I don't know though, I couldn't tell.

As the song came to an end, the crowd immediately erupted into an applause, screaming at the top of their lungs as they gave me a standing ovation. The judges were even on their feet. Was I really that good?

"Brittany, that was truly amazing. I couldn't help but sing along at times. You are the second person today to sing one of my songs probably better than I have ever done. I have a feeling we are going to see you more in the future." Sam said happily with a huge grin on his face.

"Like Sam said, that was truly amazing. I enjoyed every minute of it. I really hope to see you in the next round. You definitely deserve it." Ed said, which caused me to smile a bit.

"Honestly, I have nothing to say because they said it all. You were truly incredible. I'm just going to start you off with a yes." Simon said, beginning the voting process, which earned a smile from me.

"It's a yes from me." Ed said, smiling.

"And it's a yes from me. Congratulations." Sam said, immediately making me smile from ear to ear.

"Thank you all so much!" I said happily as I walked off the stage.

I can't wait to tell the girls. And, judging their reactions by the last three of us that made it through, I can already tell what their reaction is going to be.

"Hey, did you make it through" Bailey asked as I approached.

"No." I said without emotion. And to be honest, it was quite convincing. All of their jaws dropped to the floor and their eyes went wide.

"Relax. I'm kidding. Of course I made it." I said after a moment of silence.

The girls let out a sigh of relief before standing up, screaming and giving me a hug. And as they pulled away from the hug, Lexi slapped me across the shoulder. Hard.

"Ow. What was that for?" I whined.

"For scaring me like that. Don't ever do that again." Lexi said in all seriousness as she sat back down in her seat.

"Well girls, looks like I'm the only one left." Bailey said as the rest of us took our seats.

"Guess we're just going to have to sit here and wait." Katey stated.

And for the next couple of hours we sat and chatted. While we waited, Katey and Lexi grabbed us something to eat. And soon enough, we were the last people her. And suddenly the crew member appeared.

"Bailey Malik! You are the are on deck and the last person auditioning for today!" The crew member shouted across the room.

"Well, if wish me luck." Bailey said before standing up and following the crew member backstage.

"Good luck!" We called out to her.

She is definitely going to make it through to the next round. I can feel it.
