Walking into the big house tiredly, he couldn't help but rest on his couch as soon as he sees it. No energy to unpack his luggages or even fulfilling his thirst. He let out a big sigh while struggling to undo his coat.

Seung Hyun rest his body for a good 15 minutes before taking out his phone to call his woman, "Ms. Kate." He whispers. "Where are you?"

"What's wrong? Are you sick?" She's anxious with the sudden call and hearing his faint voice. "No. I'm just wondering where you are." He decided to walk to the kitchen to grab himself some water. "I'm at the café. Where are you?"

"Home."

"You're home?" She took a glance at her watch before cursing herself. Stupid! "I'll come over now." She continued.

"Aniya," He said. "you don't have to come now." Kate quickly cleans her station and pack her notebooks into her bag. "I'm coming home."

"Can you bring me some breads?" Seung Hyun said, still standing by the kitchen island, hearing all those noises from her line. "Alright. I'll bring the usual." He returned to his couch and let himself breathe. "Gomawo."

She falls into his embrace the moment Seung Hyun stands. Smelling his odor that she missed so much, Kate couldn't help but hugs him tighter. "I'm sorry." She confessed. "I was caught up with work that I forgot about your homecoming."

"It's okay. You're here now." As the two sits on the couch, Seung Hyun rest his head on her shoulder, too tired to even start a conversation. "Are you feeling unwell?" She asked, placing the back of her palm on his cheek. "I'm just tired." He said with his eyes closed. "Why don't you rest in the bedroom?"

"Hmm," He slowly sits up straight. His visible eye bags became a mark on how exhausted he is. "I'll sleep for a little bit." Kate watch him leave for his bedroom, concerned with his physical well-being.

"What do you want for dinner?" She trails behind him to see Seung Hyun wipes his wet face with towel. "Soup." He walks to his bed and sits on it. "Anything else? I'm going to the grocery store."

He hugs her belly when she stands in front of him. "Just some foods for the next few days." So this is how he is when he's tired as hell. She thought to herself.  "Okay. Go to sleep now." She kisses his head.

But Seung Hyun wouldn't let go of her, doesn't want to be apart from her. "What's wrong?" She whispers softly, stroking the back of his head. "Stay here for a little while."

She rest her body beside him on the bed, staring at him who's trying to sleep. The only voice there is are their own breaths. "Saranghae." He said before opening his eyes to see her.

One word that leaves a surprised face on Kate. She can feel her blood rushing through her veins, her heart beats so hard and loud.

Even when she always feel Seung Hyun's love through his actions, hearing him declaring it out loud is... different. "I love you. And I want you to know that I sincerely love you." He continued, receiving a kiss from her in return. "Nado saranghae, Mr. Choi." She smiles.

After unpacking his luggages and let the washing machine work, she took his car to the closest grocery shop.

Chicken, meats, herbs and spices, vegetables, she fills her cart with various things. Oils, milk, and cheese. After paying everything and load all her stuffs to the car, she quickly drives back home.

As soon as she's back, Kate begins her magic. Cook some rice. Clean and cut the ingredients while the water is boiling. Put in the chicken and ginger and let it boil for a good 30 minutes. Add goji berries, salt and pepper to taste, and let it simmer for another 20 minutes.

"Ne, annyeonghaseyo Eomeoni. Are you busy?" She said. "I'm calling to let you know that Seung Hyun-ssi is home. I don't think he called you yet."

Kate walks around the kitchen, keeping an eye on the simmering soup, "hm, he's sleeping right now. Ne ne, I'll see you in a bit." She place her phone on the kitchen counter after hanging up the call.

Season cod fish with salt and pepper, preheat the oven, and wash the bok choy. While the fish is cooking in the oven, stir-fry the vegetables with sunflower oil, spices, and sauces. Lastly, stir in the cooked fish and sesame oil.

In the midst of cleaning up the kitchen, her phone buzzes, notifying an incoming call. "Ne Eomeoni. Please wait a minute." She runs to the door to see Seung Hyun's parents. "Annyeong Kate-ah." They greet her with a smile. "Annyeonghaseyo, Eomeonim, Abeonim." She bows her head and let them in.

"Have you been well?"

"Yes. How about you?" She asked back. "We too are well. How is Seung Hyun?" His father put the big paper bags on the dining table. "He looks very exhausted so I told him to rest. I think he's still sleeping."

Quietly, his parents walks into his room to check on him while Kate organize the foods they brought. "He's still sleeping." Mrs. Choi informs her as she sits on the dining chair. "Jeogiyo, Kate-ah, there's actually something that we want to talk about."
