Thoughts:
Despite the less-than-great writing they got in canon (and the fact that I'm not a huge MCU shipper), I've actually grown fond of this ship. They do have some sweet moments in canon (they are very soft), and fanfic does a lot to redeem them.
If Jane herself got better writing, it'd be great. She has interesting facets to her character--she's spunky, she's a woman in STEM (astrophysics, no less), and she's the top of her field (including having her own theory). There could be more to her than just a love interest if the writers would just write her better.
Just--with better writing, this ship has a lot of potential.
