Thoughts:
In a shocking plot twist, I don't dislike it, even though AusHun is an OTP of mine. It takes more than just conflicting with an OTP to get me to dislike a ship.
I'm actually pretty neutral on this ship.
Edit: Actually, I dislike this ship now, though it doesn't have anything to do with AusHun. I'll explain more below.
Since Prussia used to represent the Teutonic Knights, he and Hungary do have a miniscule amount of history. Basically, in 1211, King Andrew II of Hungary granted Burzenland in Transylvania as a fiefdom to the Teutonic Knights. In 1225 he expelled them again because they tried to get themselves placed under the direct sovereignty of the Papal See rather than the King of Hungary.
And that's about it for their history (unless you want to count them fighting against each other in the Silesian Wars, but not only does that involve Austria as well, that's also not shipping fuel), but it's still more than a certain other popular pairing involving Prussia has.
Hetalia-wise, they've interacted a lot (even though they don't have much history), mainly through his rivalry with Austria (thus in a less-than-positive manner).
However...while they don't completely hate each other, after re-evaluating this ship...they just aren't romantically compatible. To put it bluntly, Prussia is not the kind of guy Hungary would be into. Hungary likes guys she can play prince to. Prussia is too conventionally masculine for that. She also prefers a calmer, non-bickering romantic life, which she wouldn't get from Prussia. And while Prussia has an implied crush, people overestimate his willingness to enter into a relationship with Hungary.
And quite frankly, Hungary would get nothing from the relationship.
Also, I'm not a fan of how some shippers disregard her relationship with Austria to try and make this ship work, or claim she "changed" for Austria. She didn't change for Austria; most people are not the same people they were as little kids, and Hungary didn't know who she was because she thought she was a boy. And Prussia definitely doesn't know her best, because he only knew her for fourteen years when they were kids.
The fandom portrayal doesn't help either, since a lot of the time it's way more about Prussia than it is about Hungary.
So yeah. after re-thinking, I don't like this ship at all.
