He kept his pace quick and due to my short stature, he was able to stay ahead of me for the remainder of the walk home. As we reached my front door, he finally let me pass in front of him. I flashed him a timid smile as I squeezed around him to unlock it. "Follow me," I whispered.

"I remember where your room is, Jesus I'm not an idiot." I recoiled at his statement but continued to lead the way despite it.

When we entered my room, I began gathering extra pillows and blankets from the closet to make a bed on the floor for Isaac. "Can I maybe take a shower?" He interrupted the flurry of thoughts swarming my mind.

I glanced up from my work and nodded before heading down the hall. When I reached the cupboard, I pulled out a body and face towel for him to use. With a sigh I turned around but jumped back when I almost smacked into his chest again, I had been completely unaware of his presence behind me. "Take as long as you want, my parents won't be home until much later. If you decide you are hungry just help yourself to the kitchen." I handed the towels to him with a small smile.

He looked as though he contemplated saying something but settled on entering the bathroom without a word, slamming the door behind himself. I rolled my eyes and made my way back towards my bedroom. Walking up to my dresser I began digging through the drawers in search of something to sleep in. My eyes landed on Isaac's old junior football shirt that bore his last name. I suppose I just never had the heart to throw it out. With a smirk I tore my day clothes off and slipped into his old shirt before pulling on a pair of black pajama shorts.

I swooped up my laptop before diving under the covers on my comfy California king. I needed to finish editing the video auditions for the dance programs I would be applying to this fall. Although my major would be in English Literature, I also wanted a minor in visual arts. I had become so focused on my work that I had completely lost track of time. The sound of my door opening was the only thing that brought me back to the real world. Knowing it was him I refused to look up. However, my entire being tensed at his presence when I noted he only had a towel wrapped low around his hips.

"What's the matter, never seen a guy naked?"

"What?" My cheeks flushed red, "Yes, I mean well no, but-"

"I'm kidding," he said coldly. "I know you have that boyfriend."

My cheeks only burned hotter. "You mean Sean, but no goodness no! I'm a virgin Isaac!"

His cold expression cracked as his eyes widened, "What?"

"I'm a virgin! So yes, this is the most naked I've seen a guy, so please put some clothes on!"

He chuckled to himself as I covered my eyes. The sound of his bag opening allowed me to relax slightly. Big mistake, before long I felt his breath fanning my face. "If you decide you want to change that status just let me know."

My hands flew into his abdomen and I shoved him as hard as I could, causing him to wince in pain. My eyes flashed open only to fall upon the dark purple and blue shades that painted his flesh. "Oh, my goodness! Isaac, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."

I reached out, placing my hands gently on the bruising completely entranced by them. He stood there in nothing but a pair of grey sweatpants, completely vulnerable to my curious eyes. He tensed at the sudden contact but allowed me to explore the damaged flesh. We weren't close anymore, so I understood his discomfort at our current situation.

"Did he do this to you as well?" My voice quivered as sorrow washed over me. I ran my fingers cautiously over his exposed skin, goosebumps following in their wake.
