The soft light of morning seeped in through the blinds, illuminating the simply decorated room.  There was a lighthouse clock that sat on the bedside table, its steady tick tock sounded thunderous against the silence of morning.  I laid upon Isaac's chest admiring the steady rise and fall of it as he slept.  A smile played at the corners of my lips as I ran my fingertips up and down his smooth skin.  He was pure perfection in my eyes, and he was all mine.

The sun beating down onto the house eventually began to heat up the room causing Isaac to stir. When I realized he was not quite awake I slipped out of bed quietly and made my way into the kitchen.  Opening up the fridge I pulled out the remaining eggs and bacon to prepare the final meal of our vacation.  Before long the bacon was sizzling away on the hot surface of the pan as I was serving the eggs onto the plates.  I tossed two English muffins into the toaster before turned up the music on my phone.  Swaying my hips to the rhythm as I waited for the last of the food to finish cooking.

"You sure know how to wake a man in the morning," Isaac's groggy voice pulled me back to reality.

"Well how else am I going to keep you around?"

"You don't need to cook me eggs and bacon every morning to keep me around," he chuckled as he wrapped his arms around my small frame. His bare chest pressing firmly against my back.

"It doesn't hurt though does it?"  I flipped the bacon before leaning against him, welcoming his warmth.

"No, it doesn't hurt," I could hear the smile in his words.

With a pop the toaster shot up the bread indicating it was done.

"I'll get it," he said while removing himself from our embrace.  I glanced back as he buttered the bread and placed it on the plates with the eggs, watching him in admiration.

The smile on my face was peaceful as I removed the bacon to prepared it for the plates.  I squeezed around Isaac to plate it, "Here."  Turning I offered him a plate before following him out of the kitchen and through the sliding glass door to the back porch.  He set his plate down on the large wooden table then pulled out a chair for me to sit in.  "Thanks," I grinned.

We ate in silence, allowing the sounds of the surf to center us.  The birds chirped overhead as the ocean crashed against the bluffs, it was soothing.  I understood in that moment why this place brought Isaac so much joy, it was an oasis for the living.  There was so much bustling chaos in the city that the silence and slow steady pace of life that hummed through this small blip on the map was heavenly.

When Isaac and I had finished our food, he excused himself. Removing the plates, he disappeared into the warmth of the home.  With a sigh I pulled my legs into my chest, shielding myself from the brisk ocean breeze.  Looking up towards the sky in search of the warm morning sun on my face as the fog rolled out, revealing the beauty around us.  I could hear the echo of Isaac's feet as he went in and out of the house through the front door, loading up our belonging in preparation to leave.

I finally decided to pull myself from the chair and venture back inside.  "Do you need help loading anything else?"

"No, I've got it," he smiled.  "This is the last of it if you want to meet me in the jeep, I'll lock up behind myself."

I nodded while brushing passed him to head out to the vehicle.  He tossed the last of our belongings into the back before shutting the tailgate and climbing into the passenger seat.  I hesitantly started the engine, a long groan slipping past my lips as I suddenly felt anxious.

"You okay?"  Concern consumed his face as he looked at me.

"Just not ready to say goodbye.  I know we still have a ten-hour drive, but it just isn't the same."  His hand wrapped around mine.  "I'm going to miss you."
