"If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place."

North's P.O.V

I remained perfectly still as Klaus and Ashby started their examination, Ashby said that he wanted to make sure nothing was left out when the supposed "spell" happened. He didn't blame me, he just wants to be sure, he said something could go wrong if he didn't know anything.

He also mentioned he wanted a look at my bite marks and such, I was confused but understood a little. So here I am sitting in nothing but sweat pants while two old guys stare at me, fun!

But really, it didn't bother me too much, they seem to have everything covered so my method is to just sit quietly and remain seen, not heard. "Ok North, sit up straight" Klaus demanded, smacking my back with a ruler, I winced and growled at him but stood up straight as they began to look me over carefully.

"Uhh, what happened?" I heard a familiar voice in my head. Rhys. Damn it! I was really getting used to this whole quiet deal, well it was nice while it lasted. "North, what's going?!" he spoke clearly panicked, I was still angry at him and Jack so I chose to ignore him for now. "I know you can hear me" he spoke again, but I remained silent.

"What are you mad about?! I didn't do anything!" he tried to plead innocence, but I only growled at him, "You bastard, you know what you did!!" I spoke completely pissed. "Nothing happened! I didn't-" then he paused mid-sentence, "Oh shit.." he spoke making me smile and him huff in defeat.

"Look, man, it was an accident-" he began but I cut him off, "We could have hurt someone because of you and Jack, Conny was sitting right there!" I reasoned with him clenching my teeth. "No-Not mate would never hurt mate.." he spoke in a horrified and shocked tone, I know he would never hurt her, none of us would.

But he needs to know this guilt, Jack, he and I all need to know in order to never do it again, ever. "Not to mention you put me out of commission for three days!!!" he whined but I continued, "And apparently you both were so restless that Nymeria was forced to knock both of you out, you just barely woke up!" I spoke in anger.

He whined again, "I know, I'm sorry I didn't mean to-uh-" He struggled to answer me but it looks like he didn't even know the cause of his odd behavior himself, making me feel a little bad about blaming him. "I'm sorry for yelling, I'm just frustrated" I spoke remembering the events of the last day.

I didn't want to tell him or Jack about Constance's back cut, because I know they'll both freak out or at least Rhys will and I want to give her time to tell me herself, she'll never trust me if I go all Lycan on her. "Hey, I don't feel Jack, is he there?" I asked noticing his absence, "No, I don't feel him either, must still be asleep" Rhys spoke.

I nodded my head, then I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder, "Your beasts back?" Ashby spoke with a small smile, I guess they both noticed I was distracted with talking to Rhys. I nodded, "But only Rhys my wolf is awake" I explained making him nod and pat my back. "That's good, but we'll talk about them later".

He smiled again and moved to be in front of me next to Klaus, "We noticed your bite mark, but something looks off" Klaus spoke rubbing his beard with his left hand. Ashby nodded in agreement, "Yes if you look here-" he pointed towards my left side and pointed to the jagged edges of my torn skin that I've grown used to over these few weeks.

I looked down and stared at my skin, "I've seen many newborn bitten wolf cases before, but yours look different" he spoke looking at them closer. "Different how?" I asked a little panicked and confused, to say the least. "Normally, when you're first bitten, obviously it looks like a fresh bite, and it stays sensitive over time, but yours is not that sensitive like it should be and it looks aged, a lot older than a month or few weeks".

He spoke with a confused look, he gently traced the marks on my side with fascination, "Incredible" he mumbled to himself as he stared at my scars with wonder in his eyes. I wanted to ask him more questions but he seemed lost in his own world to pay attention to anything else around him, including me.

He finally snapped out it and blinked a few times, almost like he was recalling something, maybe a memory of sorts, I don't know. He shook his head and stood with a sigh as if he was disappointed in himself. He turned his head up to stare at me and gave a firm nod and looked over at Klaus, "Go see if Nymeria has prepared the necklace and potion".

Klaus nodded and smiled at me before he left the room, Ashby sighed once again but I remained silent. I was attempting to put what was happening in my life to perspective, trying to understand what this was for. What if my memories are ones I don't want or need to have, what if they change me?

What if I was a horrible person before my time here? I don't know how this will turn out but I hope for the best results. "You and me both" Rhys grumbled, I smiled a little and shook my head, he scoffed, "You think you're the only one who's stressed about this!?" he spoke with anger making me smile again.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up buddy" He growled then retreated to the back of my mind for the time being. I shook my head and laughed to myself, if I was going to be stuck with Rhys the rest of my life, then I might as well laugh it off for now. I then felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see Nymeria, guess I was too distracted to hear her come in.

She smiled at me and opened her closed palm in front of me, inside was a necklace identical to my one from before, except without the blue glow, the ball in the middle of the moon was empty and void of light. "I wanted you to see it before I take your blood to complete it, but we'll finish it tomorrow" she commented putting the necklace in her pocket.

I nodded with a smile, recalling the first time she made me that blood necklace, sure it was strange at the time, but now it seems like nothing. I then looked down and glanced at the palm that was cut to make my first necklace, and I saw nothing. Of course, it healed but I can remember the exact spot where that cut was.

I traced my fingers over it and sighed, Nymeria patted my back in a comforting way then spoke.

"It's time to start the spell"

She then waved her hand in front of my face with dark purple sparks following after her hands

And that was the last thing I saw before I found the darkness again.
