To see is not enough
Our mind seeks to touch
To feel the thunder
And smell the wonder
That's embedded in our minds
Age worthless without time
Gone at the ping of a wind chime
Sleep is worth no dime
To explore the riches of the mind

"Because I could not fear Wolves, they strangely feared me,
It gets me wondering if they are as miserable as me."
-Werewolf Saint
========================
North's P.O.V
My mind went black as Rhys took over, I felt my bones crack and replace themselves but at the same time I felt nothing, just emptiness. The realization of the events that have taken place these past few months finally crashed down on me like a tidal wave.
I was kidnapped, imprisoned, chained, tormented emotionally, mentally, physically, and subjected to near starvation. I ran over everything in my head, from the burns on my leg, my extreme weight loss, to the new scars on my arms and palm. I haven't slept in what felt like ages, I only now noticed just how tired I was.
It's strange how none of this hit me till I'm about to escape it, it left a mental scar that will last forever and a day.
After we had left the room, knocking over a lamp and causing a fire for good measure, we began to run down the halls in a rage-induced panic, all we wanted was to leave and we knew it wasn't going to be easy.
Rhys ran past the approaching guards when they would block his path, he'd slash their chests or shove them out the nearest window and listen to their screams. I expected to feel guilt or remorse for what my beasts and I were doing, but I felt nothing, absolutely nothing at all what so ever.
In the distance of my mind, I could hear Jack yelling commands to Rhys about where to go and the safest way out of here. They both seemed busy enough so I remained silent, I just watched the action happen from a mental distance, but as I saw so much blood spilled and splatter on my wolf's face, I still felt nothing.
I heard a growl in the distance, Rhys turned to face what I can only assume was Ajax's wolf, he was pure black and stared at me with dark golden eyes that held rage and fury. He growled and charged after me, but Rhys held his ground and snarled at our challenger. Sure he may be a Lycan, but I'm more than that.

He pounced on me and tackled me to the ground, but Rhys growled back and managed to nip his neck, causing blood to soak my face, but I didn't mind, as long as I got to leave this place more or less alive, I'd be just fine. He returned the favor and bit into my leg, but I bit his neck once again and shoved him off.
He went about five feet and I stood and growled at him and pounced before he got the chance to recover, he whimpered as I clawed his chest, he then backed up slightly, but still tried to swipe at me with his large claws, he nicked my cheek but nothing else. I then shoved him once more and growled in his ear.
I had my paw on his neck with my teeth right by his lungs, ready to rip them out if needed, he then whimpered once more and exposed his neck to me, showing submission. Rhys then let him go and stepped back, turning to howl in victory. He then turned and growled once again at Ajax to make sure he didn't try anything.
Then he took off running, I could feel that fight took a lot out of him and he was low on energy, we got lucky with that fight, but if we encountered another, we'd be done for. I zoned out till finally, I felt the wind on my fur, I then refocused and saw we were in a forest, I wanted to stop and admire my freedom, but I knew we needed to get as far away from here as possible.
I heard screams behind me, but I blocked them out and kept encouraging Rhys to run faster, I knew at some point he'd get tired and be forced to give control back to me, but we need all the strength we can get at this point. Jack begged Rhys to stay strong and keep going, but I could tell he was fading fast.
A sudden smell then registers in my head, it was familiar and brought me comfort, I could tell the others recognized it as well and we stopped, Rhys was panting hard, almost hyperventilating. But he stayed strong incase of an enemy approaching us. I then heard a twig snap in the distance and Rhys growled, but that even sounded weak.
"Rhys, give me back control, now" I commanded to him, he weakly shook his head, "No, you're even weaker than I am I can keep going" he tried to reason but I refused to listen, "You're drained, just take a break" He reluctantly nodded and began to shift back, I felt my bones snap back into place and I felt more like me.
I was still wearing my previous clothing, but the ripped and stretched version, I then slowly stood from the ground, wincing at my new injuries and leaning against a tree for support, "How far are we away?" I questioned, I won't be able to run now, "Far enough, we're safe North..." Jack assured me, I nodded and forced myself to start moving.
I limped as I walked but I needed to at least try and follow the familiar smell.
I then felt a presence behind me and I turned and faced a person who it I felt like I hadn't seen in years.
