To see is not enough
Our mind seeks to touch
To feel the thunder
And smell the wonder
That's embedded in our minds
Age worthless without time
Gone at the ping of a wind chime
Sleep is worth no dime
To explore the riches of the mind

North's P.O.V
Nymeria smiled when she saw me and clapped her hands together in joy after sitting down the bowl of water on the table, "Oh, good you're awake!" she spoke happily walking over to me and sitting on the end of my bed. "W-What happened?" I asked slightly panicked and confused. She smiled warmly again, "You don't remember, but I guess that is expected".
She spoke looking down, she sighed and looked back up at me, "You remember when the full moon was right?" I nodded, knowing that Miah had mentioned it after her fight with Connor, but as I said before, I couldn't remember anything after that. "What do remember from that day?" she asked looking me directly in the eye.
I bit my lip and sighed, "I remember the fight Connor and Miah had and her talking about a surprise or something like that, but after that, it's just blank" she frowned but nodded and leaned forward and gently touched my head as if checking for a fever, "I guess that's because of the trauma, as I said, it's expected".
I gently pushed her hand away, "What trauma?" I asked I would have demanded it, but for some reason, I was feeling very weak and tired. She sighed softly, "That night when the pack went for the traditional run, you decided to stay back with Constance and Klaus while he was aiding to Connor's injuries".
I nodded but remained silent, "Constance fell asleep on the sofa and Klaus went to check on Connor, I don't know the full story but Constance said she woke to you on the floor covering your ears and crying, then you tossed and turned, knocking over a vase, Klaus heard it and ran in, you passed out and they brought you here".
She explained, "After looking over you, I determined that you must have experienced extreme head trauma on the mental scale, your mind and body were completely exhausted and you blacked out because you needed rest". I nodded once again, trying to force myself to remember this strange incident.
"The only way this particular head trauma could have happened was if a powerful being was trying to force their way in or out of your mind, you resisted causing a massive strain on your head" I nodded slowly once again, putting the small pieces together in my head.
"I can only assume it was your beasts that wanted to come out, and their combined force caused the massive pain and blackout, hence why you cannot remember" I looked down and asked, "They tried to force control?" she nodded, "Their senses must have been heightened because of the full moon".
I once again nodded, feeling a slight headache coming on, "Why?" I questioned her again, "Normally, you can resist the urge to change without any pain, but with your other beast, it must have been much harder to control and resist, but applause to you for being strong enough to do so" she smiled, "Who knows what would have happened if they were both in control at the same time".
My head was beginning to hurt even more with all this thinking and I think it was noticeable, "Hey, don't think too much, let your mind relax for a while" she rubbed my shoulder, I slowly nodded but didn't look up, "Did I hurt anyone?" I questioned her and her eyes softened and she shook your head.
"No, only you were hurt" I let out a sigh of relief, I would feel so guilty if I hurt or killed someone who was innocent, I'd never forgive myself. "How long have I been here?" she stood and walked over to the bowl and picked up a rage, "About three days, it took a lot of energy out of you".
She dipped the cloth in the water and rinsed it out then repeated a few times then walked back over, "Why can't I hear them or sense them anymore?" she sat down on my left side and began to gently dab my head to cool it down from my headache, "When you came here, the beasts were still active and your nose began to bleed, so I gave a tea with herbs to put them to sleep for a while".
I nodded and sighed, feeling already better from the cool rag, "Your pack went into a slight panic when they heard, some have tried to visit but I could not let them" I turned to her, "Why?" I questioned, she stood and began to dampen the rag again, "You needed as much rest as possible without disturbance, I could not risk it, it would have caused you more damage"
I understood a little but was slightly bitter that I had been away for so long, I was getting more than tired with all these problems, I thought after I got Conny back and went home, that everything would be settled for a while, not just two weeks, but things never go by way unfortunately.
Nymeria then walked back and began to dab my head with the cloth again gently, "I understand you are angry and tired of all this, and I wish I could help it stop, but even I am not that powerful" she said standing again. Then a thought came to me, "What if you got someone stronger?".
She immediately turned back and looked at me as if I was insane, so I repeated myself, "What if you found someone more powerful, someone that could help me?" she didn't respond for a minute, "North, even if I could no one is-"I cut her off, "Please, I can't keep doing this Nymeria, I'm tired, please!" I begged her.
She frowned again and shook her head, "North, those types of witches and warlocks are very rare-"I cut her off once again, I was starting to get desperate, "Please, I don't want to be like this every day, it's going to kill me!" I said and I was true.
If I didn't die from insanity, then surely one of my beasts would 'accidentally' kill me in another fit of rage and power, I can't fight them off every full moon, it will take too much energy of every time I pass out and sleep for three days, it's too much of a strain on my mind and body considering the damage from this.
Nymeria stared at me for a moment, then she looked at the ground and sighed heavily in defeat, "Fine" I smiled widely at the thought of having this all fixed once and for all. It's not that I want to get rid of Jack or Rhys, I just need them to calm down and stop giving me problems that might kill me someday.
"but-" she began making me frown slightly, "You must do everything I say if this is going to work, I'm sacrificing a lot for you boy and I expect you to remember that" she spoke sternly like a mother to her child, I quickly nodded, not really caring about her conditions and terms of our agreement.
"Good, now let's get you dressed and back to the packhouse, we'll start searching for a proper witch or warlock to help with this, alright?", I stood from the bed and nodded but before we left I asked a question,
"Why are helping me so much?"
She then chuckled dryly,
"Let's just say I have an interest in what you are North"
