Constance's P.O.V 

I guess I sort of lost it when North was trying to pry the truth out of me, I understand he's angry that I was hurt and wanted to know why. I wanted to tell him that even though he did it, that it was a complete accident and I was fine, but I know he won't listen to me. So I got angry that he gets to react this way when I'm hurt but I'm never able to. 

So here we are after our first fight, hugging in Klaus's office and remaining quiet as we comfort each other. Then North decided to break the silence, "I'm sorry, I just don't like seeing you hurt" he spoke in a low tone while rubbing my back, I nodded against his chest, "I know,  I'm sorry too" he nodded. 

Then he pulled away and stared me dead in the eye, "I just don't understand why you won't tell me who did that" he complained, I sighed and said, "How do you know someone did it? I could have just fallen down" I reasoned to try and steer his mind somewhere else, I know he'll hate himself if I tell him the truth. 

As I said before, I want to protect him as he protects me. He folded his arms over his chest and stared at me with a cold look, "I know when you're lying Constance" I was shocked, it felt so strange to hear him say my full name, I swallowed hard and remained silent. "First you won't tell me, now you're lying to me, why?" he spoke sounding hurt by my actions. 

I shook my head, "I just don't want anyone to get hurt, no matter who did it, it was an accident North" I spoke walking over to him and placing my hand on his cheek. He sighed and looked down, I hated doing this, but it's better that he doesn't know, at least for now. 

He sighed and wrapped an arm around my waist, careful of the cut, "I trust you, Conny" he said making me smile, I leaned forward and kissed his cheek, "Thank you North" I hugged him again. He smiled lightly and hugged me back. "Can we please drop it, just for now?" I asked pulling away from the hug and looking my mate dead in the eyes. 

He paused for a minute and remained quiet, then slowly nodded, "For now" I giggled and pulled away, taking his hand in mine, "Thank you, I love you" I spoke in a sweet tone, I really wanted him to forgive me. He smiled widely and squeezed my hand,

 "I love you too".

North's P.O.V 

I was annoyed, that's the best way I can put it, I was annoyed that Constance won't tell me who hurt her back, but I want to trust her, she's my soulmate and I'm stuck with her for life. But I wouldn't have it any other way, I just want her to be honest with me, I love her and need her to trust me. 

But she said it was an accident, maybe it was and she's protecting the person who did it because they didn't do it on purpose, understandable. But I'm still mad about it, but I'm letting it go per her request for now. I don't care if it was an accident, I just want to know to ease my anger and get my mind off it. 

We then walked out of Klaus's office and into the front room, I looked over and saw Klaus talking with Ashby, Miah, Connor, and Nymeria. "Yep, they're fighting" He spoke plainly, "Define fighting, like yelling?" Miah asked and Klaus nodded, "Yeah, it was getting pretty heated when I left" Ashby then chuckled. 

"They're a young couple, mates or not they will fight from time to time" he spoke completely calm. Like he did a 180 from the last time I saw him, strange, very strange. "Still, I wonder what they're fighting about" Nymeria commented smoothly, Klaus then shrugged, "I don't know, I just wanted to get out of there". 

I smiled that he was lying for us, Conny will have more than my aggressive interrogation if the pack leaders know about her cut. She smiled at me showing she was thinking the same thing. I then cleared my throat and the small group turned to us, "Y'all done with the fighting, or should we give you a minute?" Klaus spoke with a chuckle. 

I smiled and shook my head, "We made up" Constance spoke gripping my hand tight, I smiled at her and nodded. They all nodded then Connor asked, "What were you even fighting about?" I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck, "Stuff and things" I said smoothly and walked over with Conny and sat down on the couch. 

They all nodded and decided to leave it alone I guess, Conny then leaned on my shoulder and closed her eyes, I guess she was tired from all the stress. I kissed her head making her smile and I focused my attention back on the group. Ashby stepped forward, "I've been thinking North" he began, "I've decided to start the process on your beasts tonight, I believe that the faster we start it, the better" 

I smiled and nodded to him in agreement, "Thank you" I wanted to get this over with as soon as possible and move on with my life here. I know I might not ever get my memories of my past back, but I'm ok with that, I have my family right here and that's all I need. 

Ashby smiled, "Then tomorrow we'll get another necklace going for you, ok?" I nodded again to him, "The sooner the better right?" he nodded then turned to Nymeria, "We'll need to start preparing now if we are to start the spell before dusk" she nodded to him and smiled kindly at me. 

I nodded to her showing my trust and she nodded back, I know this was incredibly risky and I could get hurt just like before, but I didn't really have a choice. 

All I want is for my insane life to stop for a minute

I just want to stop all this chaos, 

Before someone else gets hurt.
