The Light In Their Eyes

If I leaped,
I wouldn't have to see their pain.
Even though they don't
want to acknowledge it,
it's there.
Distant, but still there.
I see the pain, the
Hurt in their eyes
The same doe eyes that
Cry themselves to
Sleep
"Cry into your pillow."
he says,
staring into
Those beautiful doe eyes
that could hold the whole universe
he says hurtful words
and slashes them across the chest
Only something a
True monster could do
While staring into those
Beautiful doe eyes

Those eyes
They walk me to the edge
The edge that would only require
One leap
Sometimes I wonder:
What would happen
If I leaped?
Would those beautiful doe eyes
Keep moving forward
Or would all their light
Be erased
Leaving pits of
Darkness?
