"What.. is that?"
"Oh, it is a tree."
I look at her in confusion. What does she mean? Is she joking?
I think she is basically fucking with me. She said she could help me "control my drems", and she took my hand 6 in the morning, dragged me through the woods as the sun came up.
And here we are, standing in front of this massive tree.
She is smiling. I am definetely not.
"Why did you bring us here?" I ask her. "I hope you are not fucking with me, because if you are; it is not funny."
Mia sighs, "Can you chill the fuck out? I brought you to help you. Don't you want to control your dreams?"
"Yes I do, but why are we here?"
She looks at me in a way, like she is not sure about something.
"This tree is called, "Dreamer Tree." she starts to tell me the story about the tree.
"Long, long time ago.. People used to came here, to make a wish about the dreams they wanted to see in their sleeps. In ancient greek mythology, greek gods would sit on the top of this tree, listen to peoples' voice about their wishes, and dreams they wanted to see.
They used to choose the best and the most beautiful ones to make their wishes come true. So many people wanted to be rich, to be with their lovers, or to be able to fly. So many wishes. So many heartbreaking stories.
Once upon a time, a heartbroken mother came to this tree, to see her dead child in her dream. She cried, cried and cried to the tree, and her tears made the tree grow bigger, bigger and bigger. According to the legend, in that night, she saw her child in her arms.
The mother came every morning to ask for a new dream, she only wanted to be with her child. Even as a dream, even as a shadow.
Until one day..
The mother found dead in her bed, smiling and hugging her pillow so tight.
The legend says; the child of the mother didn't let her wake up, and dragged her into the death with himself.
They burried the dead mother next to her lovely son.
And they slept together forever."
