Haley was at the inn, running around, ordering new couches, setting up for lunch with her cook Beth, the inn was particularly busy, she had sent one family out for a hike in the cold, bad decision? Possibly, but anything she could do to get the load off, she walked up to her receptionist, Sean, he was a middle aged blonde man, he was the most optimistic person she knew, was always happy to cover for her, reminded her to rest, gave Freddie free lunch whenever he visited his sister.
"Call for you, Haley." He said, extending the phone to her in his Scottish accent.
"Hello? Hey Kat what's up? Oh you know, busy inn, busy me. We had new couches come in from Turkey today, it's a mess here right now. Harry's good, he should be home, yes. Can I get out of work? I'm not sure. You want me and Harry to look after your daughter? Yeah yeah you know I love Brooke, but she's a year old, like what would we do if she cries? You're getting us ready for when we .. Kat. Alright fine. I'll get off work in 20 minutes, call Harry and let him know I'll meet him at his house. Yeah sure no problem, it's not like you completely manipulated me into this, yeah ha ha I hate you too." She hung up, tapping the phone on her chin, thinking of how she could leave with so much left to do.
"Anything important Haley?"
"Yes, Sean actually can you look after things for a while? I need to go babysit my god daughter her mother has this big meeting. I promise I'll cover for you next wek." Haley said as he nodded smiling,
"Of course, go. Children require so much attention, take all the time you need I'll be here."
"You're a life saver." She grabbed her purse and walked backwards, "HEY call me if anything's wrong." She pointed at him and closed the door behind her. She texted Nathan to drop food off for Freddie if he didn't already have some and drove onto the Hollands' street. She rung the bell and was greeted by Harry who pulled her into a kiss immediately, was soon turned into a make out session, but Harry pulled away, Haley looked at him, confused.
"Uh my mom's home." He said, pursing his lips. "And so is Zach with the baby."
"She has a name, you know."
"I've called her baby since she's been born, she is baby and that's it." She walked as Nikki stood over Zach placing Brooke on the blanket on the floor, Brooke threw her hands around and clapped as Haley sat next to her talking to her in her baby voice,
"How's my best girl? How's she? You're the cutest. Yes you are. Yes you are my love." She picked her up and rocked her a little,
"Kat was already late, so I decided drop Brooke off." Zach said, crossing his arms.
"Why don't you look after her?" Haley asked.
"Well, daddy needs a day off."
"Ugh I hate you." Haley said, narrowing her eyes at him, as he gave her a cheeky smile.
