"Now is that any way to treat a guest?"

"What are you doing here, Klaus?" Seraphina questioned as she peaked behind Jeremy. She ducked under his arm, standing in front of the boy at the door.

"Well, for starters, young Jeremy here could show some manners and invite me inside," Klaus began, cocking his head to the side as he looked at his wife. He was wondering what game she was playing at.

"Why don't you go up to your room," Seraphina suggested to Jeremy.

"Now, baby Gilbert." She and Damon instructed, both of them looking at Jeremy. Jeremy scoffed before doing what he was told, making his way to the stairs.

"Hmm, poor lad," Klaus commented as he looked at the siblings. "Loses one questionable father figure only to be replaced by the likes of the two of you," He said, looking at the brothers.

"Yeah, about that. Something happened," Damon began.

"He knows," Seraphina interjected, her eyes staying on Klaus.

"I know about my mother's invulnerable little creation. That's why I'm here, I'm leaving town," Klaus said, looking at Seraphina, his hands ready to grab her. "I just need to pick up a few road trip necessities. My wife, spare tires, flashlight, doppelganger," Klaus listed, making Seraphina scoff, her eyes rolling at him.

"Can't help you there," Damon informed, putting his hand on Seraphina, spinning her around and shutting the door.

"You've done it now," Seraphina grunted, walking away from the door.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Damon yelled in a hushed tone.

"I forgot!" She yelled back in the same tone.

"Elena!" Stefan called as he stood at the bottom of the steps. Klaus paced the front porch, his steps loud enough to echo through the house.

"Can't you go and shoo him away?" Damon questioned his sister as they stood in one of the front rooms.

"No, he wants those hybrids -- bad," She murmured as it went quiet and Stefan came down the steps.

"Where is she?" Damon questioned.

"She's not here," He answered.

"What do you mean, she's not here," Seraphina questioned.

"Where did she go?"

"What's going on?" Bonnie questioned.

"Klaus wants in," Seraphina informed, walking towards one of the windows to peek out of the blinds, seeing her husband pacing in the front yard with a rolled up newspaper in hand.

"We have to keep him out," Damon added. Seraphina watched as he stopped at the window she was at, his shoulder going back.

"Duck!" Damon yelled, pulling her to the ground as the newspaper flying through the window. Seraphina shot back up, standing in the broken window. "You idiot!" She barked, anger coursing through her veins. "You could've killed me!"

"I think you're probably going to want to let me in!" Klaus yelled back, making her scoff before backing away from the window. She watched Klaus walk across the street after noticing the picket fence, her foot tapping in anticipation of his next move.

"Elena's car is gone," Stefan announced from the kitchen.

"Why wouldn't she tell anyone where she was going?" Bonnie questioned.

"Incoming!" She yelled as a soccer ball Klaus kicked came through the door. "He's got pickets," She added as he came up the steps of the porch, stopping at the door, throwing one into the house.

"Missed me!" Damon shouted after the picket went into the wall above his head.

"Get down!" Stefan instructed, pulling Bonnie and Jeremy behind the counter. Damon broke off the fence that was in the wall, throwing it back at Klaus. Klaus dodged it with ease, breaking the picket to where it was at a point, throwing it into the house.

"Missed me again!" Damon yelled from behind the kitchen table. Stefan's phone began to ring during the chaos, making Seraphina look into the kitchen.

"Alaric,"

--

"He's got a damn propane tank!" Seraphina yelled in disbelief, seeing Klaus walking up the steps with a propane tank and a burning newspaper.

"Put it out," Stefan demanded as he walked into the door jam.

"Come outside and make me," Klaus said, making Stefan walk past the threshold.

"Elena's not here, Alaric has her and Caroline. He's going to kill them both unless you turn yourself over to him," Stefan explained, making Klaus sigh, dropping the burning paper and the propane tank, looking back at Stefan.

"Now, I know you're not asking me to walk into a certain death," Klaus said.

"I really wish we could, but unfortunately, if Alaric kills you, there's a one in four chance that we die, too."

"I'll take those odds," Damon stated, holding one of the pickets.

"And a hundred percent chance that Seraphina and Tyler dies," Stefan added, looking at his brother.

"I'm good with Tyler dying," Damon shrugged.

"Why don't we just figure out a way to put Alaric down, hm?" Seraphina suggested as she walked out onto the porch.

"Okay," Klaus began. "How about Damon sneaks in and distracts Alaric while Stefan grabs Elena and carries her to safety," He suggested.

"Oh, that's a great idea. What's to stop me from being killed instantly?" Damon questioned in a sarcastic tone.

"Nothing," Klaus grinned, making Seraphina give him a dirty look.

"Caroline's in there," Damon reminded. "Don't you have a thing for her, or did she just reject you too many times? Or is it because you're married to my sister?" Damon questioned, making Seraphina growl lightly at her brother.

"This isn't really, uh, helping too much," Stefan mentioned, placing his hand on Seraphina's shoulder, keeping her from going after Damon.

"I might have an idea," Bonnie informed as she stood at the door. "My mom used a desiccation spell on Mikael that immobilized him for over 15 years," Bonnie explained. "If I can get it, I might be able to use it in Alaric."

"If and might. Your words inspire such confidence," Klaus grumbled.

"I'll get it, but even with the spell, we'll need a lot of vampire muscle to take him down," Bonnie said. "Including yours," She added. Klaus sighed, turning around and looking at the sun.

"Just so we're clear, the sun sets in about eight hours. We don't succeed before then, Elena will be dead, Seraphina and I'll be gone, and the rest of you will be left to fend for yourselves."
