"You okay? Is Ray getting heavy?" Klaus questioned Stefan as they trekked through the woods.

"I'm fine," Stefan replied, looking at the couple. Seraphina was happily walking beside Klaus, Stefan smiled lightly at his sister.

"You sure about that?" Seraphina chimed in. "You know, we've been walking for some time now," She added. "I can carry him for a bit if you'd like."

"Or, if you need some water or a little sit-down," Klaus added in, making Seraphina shove him lightly.

"You know, I get that we're, uh, we're stuck together, Klaus, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat," Stefan grumbled. "It'd be great."

"So much brooding," Klaus commented, looking over at Seraphina. "I'm guessing you were the nice one?" He questioned, making her laugh.

"I was, and still am," Seraphina responded with a laugh.

"Your self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend," Klaus told Stefan.

"Maybe it's cause I'm a little tired of hunting werewolves," Stefan grumbled.

"I agree with him," Seraphina mentioned. "We have been at it all summer, dear."

"Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack," Klaus said as the trio walked up on a campsite. "There,"

The whole campsite grew tense as the two vampires and hybrid came up. Stefan walked further into the campsite, Ray still on his shoulders. Whispers came from inside the camp, making Seraphina look at Klaus, who turned to look at her, smiling and pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"Ray! Oh, my god!" A woman yelled as Stefan dropped Ray on the ground. "What's going on?" She questioned, looking up at the vampires and hybrid. Growls echoed through the camp. "Who are you?"

"The important question is who am I," Klaus chimed as he and Seraphina walked to where Stefan stood.

"Please, forgive the intrusion," Seraphina spoke.

"My name is Klaus," He spoke, a small smile on his face.

"You're the hybrid," The woman breathed.

"You've heard of me, fantastic."

--

"It's fascinating, actually -- a werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun," Klaus explained, Seraphina simply humming as the sun warmed her skin. "A true hybrid,"

A gasp came from Ray, making Seraphina jump.

"Excellent timing, Ray!" Klaus exclaimed. "Very dramatic," Klaus commented.

"What's happening to me?" Ray questioned.

"Stefan," Klaus said, making Seraphina look at her husband. "Come here, love," He beckoned, making her do so.

"Are any of you human?" Stefan questioned, standing up from the rock he was sitting on. "Your friend here needs human blood," Stefan informed, looking around the camp. "To complete his transition to vampire," Stefan explained. Seraphina sighed, leaning her head on Klaus's shoulder.

"If he doesn't get it, he will die," He mentioned.

"Doesn't take much," Klaus added in, making Seraphina sigh, moving her head off his shoulder. "Just a sample." Klaus stood up, leaving his wife on the rock. "Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend along for the ride?" Klaus questioned as he looked around, his eyes landing on a male standing near him. "You," he called, grabbing him and biting his arm. The man yelled out, Klaus shoving him towards Stefan, who slammed him to the ground.

"If you don't drink it, Ray, he will!" Seraphina yelled over the shouting. "And he doesn't know how to stop!" She added, looking at her brother.

"It's the new order, sweetheart," Klaus told the woman. "You join us, or you die."

"I rather die than be a vampire," She sneered.

"Wrong choice," Klaus informed, his eyes turning the same golden hue as hers and his veins coming out. Klaus bit his wrist, shoving it into her mouth, forcing her to drink his blood. Seraphina sighed. watching as Ray drank from the human.

"She'll thank me for that later," Klaus laughed, making Seraphina purse her lips. Seraphina watched him break the woman's neck, letting her fall to the ground. "Okay, who's next?"

--

There," Klaus said as he removed his wrist from the human. "Good as new, now you relax, okay, mate?" Klaus compelled. "We're gonna need you when the rest of them wake up," He added.

"They're dead," Ray stated frantically, making Seraphina hum as she stood against a tree, mirroring her brother's position. "They're all dead."

"Ah, he's through his transition," Klaus announced happily. "He should be feeling better soon," Klaus told.

"So is this your master plan?" Stefan questioned Klaus. "Build an army of hybrid slaves?"

"No, not slaves," Klaus corrected. "Soldiers, comrades."

"Slaves," Seraphina deadpanned, looking at her husband. "And for what war, might I ask? Last time I checked you was the most feared vampire of all time."

"Oh, you don't arm yourself after was has been declared, love," Klaus answered her. "You build your army so big that no one ever dares pick the fight."

"What makes you so sure that they'll be loyal?" Stefan questioned.

"Well, it's not difficult to be loyal when you're on the winning team," Klaus replied. "That's something you'll learn once you shake that horribly depressive chip off your shoulder," Klaus added, making Stefan laugh.

"That's why you're, uh -- you're keeping me around?" Stefan questioned in disbelief.

"Uh, Klaus," Seraphina called, watch as blood streamed down Ray's face. She walked over to him, Klaus following her. Klaus grabbing Ray's face, turning it to examine him.

"You'll know why I'm keeping you around," Klaus called from over his shoulder. Seraphina had obviously tuned out Stefan's ranting, she had no idea what all he had asked or said. "When I've decided that I want you to know," Klaus added, looking over at Seraphina, who shrugged her shoulders. "Something's wrong," Klaus mumbled.

"That shouldn't be happening, should it?" Stefan questioned as he stood beside Klaus. His commented earned a scoff from Seraphina.

"Stefan, if it was supposed to be happening then we wouldn't be so -"

"Shut it, Damon junior," Stefan growled, making her snicker.

"We, obviously," Klaus spoke.

"You said it was gonna feel better," Ray reminded Klaus. "Why doesn't it feel better?" He added in.

"Some master race," Stefan scoffed.

"Lose the attitude!"
