"Well, I'm so happy you finally arrived." Elijah spoke as Seraphina walked through the door. "You look frumpy," He added, making her scoff.

"You can thank your brother for that," She spoke, sitting down on the couch beside him. "You've been, extremely busy," She added, noticing how many manila folders were on the table.

"Well, considering I thought you were going to bail on me," Elijah teased lightly, making Seraphina let out a groan, causing a laugh to escape him.

"I've never let you down, Elijah," She reminded. "Now, tell me what this mess is."

"Well, you need background first," He began, making her nod. "Rosalind actually has been in New Orleans since 1718,"

"Since the beginning of the city?" She questioned, making him nod. "She was there when you guys got there right?" She added on, making him nod again.

"Yep, she was in the shadows for years," Elijah said. "She ran things on the down low, still does." He paused as he handed her a file, making Seraphina open it. "She runs a bar now, she started it when she first moved there. It looks like a normal bar, but it's for vampires to feed on, willing participants."

"You know, I went to it once," Seraphina mentioned. "Very, erotic,"' She coughed, thumbing through the pages in the file.

"She's also in charge of New Orleans, so if Klaus ever goes back, they're going to have some kind of fight," Elijah said, holding back a smile.

"I cannot wait to see that."

"You know," Elijah began as he drove to New Orleans, making Seraphina look over at him. "Niklaus is very lucky to have you."

"Is he though?" She questioned. "You know, him and I talked once." She paused, looking back out the window. "He mentioned how he thought that me and you were going to end up together." Elijah let out a laugh, making Seraphina scoff. "What? Are you telling me you couldn't be with me?"

"When I first met you," He began, making her turn back towards him. "You were one the verge of death, but you still were ready to attack me if I was so much as touch you." Seraphina laughed at the memory. "You remind me so much of Niklaus, ready to strike at the first sign of danger."

"Ah yes, I'm sorry I was so hateful," She apologized. "I know that first week or two was extremely rough, especially for Klaus,"

"You got under his skin so much," Elijah laughed. "But once you guys started to get along, it was like everything fell in place," He added. "Once he realized he loved you, he got a ring made for you." He mentioned, making Seraphina's heart swell. "I think it was one of your birthday's we celebrated, you finally accepted his dance. The look in his eye, that is something I will never forget."

"You officiated our wedding," She laughed, making Elijah chuckle as well. "You know, a lot of people think I would change marrying him, but I don't think I would."

"That's good to hear," He responded. "And Seraphina, if Klaus didn't marry you, I probably would've," He added, making her smile. Seraphina's shrill ringtone ended the silence in the car, making her look at it, seeing Klaus' name.

"Speak of the devil," She sighed.

"You going to answer it?" He questioned, making her shake her head as the screen went dark. "If he calls again, I think you should."

"Why is that?" She questioned, making Elijah sigh.

"Because the two of you have this weird magnetic attraction, he's going to follow you to the ends of the Earth if he has to." As Elijah finished his speech, the phone rang again, Klaus' name popping up. She sighed, pressing answer and putting the phone to her ear.

"I guess you're on the mission you were telling me about," He spoke quietly. "How's it coming?"

"You're strangely calm for a man whose wife is on the run," She replied. "But, it's going fine," She added.

"I know exactly where you're heading, my love," Klaus paused, Seraphina's brows furrowing. "Good think for modern technology am I right? You're heading towards New Orleans, and I know you're safe." He finished, making Seraphina sigh. "I love you, and I know I've been a pain in the ass –"

"I love you too," Seraphina whispered as ended the call. "It was like he was saying goodbye," She spoke, her eyes on Elijah.

"I don't know what he's planning Sera, if I knew, I would tell you." Elijah reassured, making her run her hands through her hair. "I assure you, he's going to be okay."

"I hope so."

"Sired? You cannot be serious," Seraphina scoffed into the phone as she and Elijah stood in the streets of New Orleans. The two were being pushed around the city by Rosalind's bodyguards. Elijah looked at her, making her wave her hand and roll her eyes.

"I'm serious as a heart attack, Phina," Stefan spoke. "Where are you right now?"

"Why? So you can tell Klaus?" She sneered.

"Because we wanted to know if you could show us around New Orleans, your old stomping grounds," Damon yelled out, making Seraphina grunt.

"I'm not showing you around New Orleans, I'm here on special business," She said, making Elijah scoff lightly.

"Special business?" Stefan questioned, making Seraphina hum. "Finding you a new husband?"

"Why are you two idiots in New Orleans," She questioned, ignoring him.

"Well, Damon had a sire once and we need answers," Stefan explained. "Klaus is being his normal self, by the way."

"Not surprised," She deadpanned. "I'm not coming back home to stop him, let him run his course and he'll leave. Good luck."

"Seraphina -" She ended the call, shoving the device into her pocket.

"I'm about to block them all."

"Don't you love when family calls for help?" Elijah questioned, earning a glare from Seraphina.

"Yes, especially when they're idiots."
