"You know -- this is your fault. You set us on this path when you released my mother," Klaus told Stefan. "I wonder if revenge will prove worth the cost."
"Oh, I'm done with revenge," Stefan told. "As far as Esther, we've stopped her before. We'll stop her again."
"We are strange bedfellows, you and I. You know, all of this reminds me of our time together in the twenties."
"You say that like I'm supposed to have happy memories about it," Stefan scoffed.
"Well, there were moments, real friendship, brotherhood."
"Oh, he already has a brother -- and a sister," Damon reminded as he walked up to the three. "Not to be, you know, territorial or anything."
"Oh, no, of course. The Salvatore's and their unshakable bond."
"I wonder what'll happen when Elena finally makes her choice," Seraphina chirped, earning a look from her brothers. "Katherine never did."
"Will we see you shake, just a little bit?" Klaus questioned, turning back around to look out in the school's parking lot.
"It's done," Bonnie announced as she walked out the school. "Esther's not fighting me anymore," She added. "The boundary spell is broken."
Seraphina and Klaus tested it out, waving their hands over the salt line before Klaus grabbed her hand, both of them whisking away.
--
"Alaric Saltzman just tried to kill me!"
"Alaric Saltzman is supposed to be dead," Klaus deadpanned as he and Seraphina packed.
"Well, he's not! And he's a vampire thanks to mother's spell. With a white oak stake that can't kill him," She explained. "He's stronger, Nik. Too strong."
"Where is he now?" Klaus questioned.
"Stuck at the school without a daylight ring, but as soon as night falls he'll come after us," Rebekah replied. "We need to leave now."
"Fine. I'll collect Elena and we'll be on our way," Klaus said.
"Forget Elena! You don't need any more stupid hybrids!" Rebekah yelled, making Seraphina hum in agreement.
"What I need is protection from Esther's continued assaults against us," Klaus countered.
"We'll protect each other," Rebekah suggested. "Like we always have." Rebekah walked closer to her brother. "Always and forever, Nik."
"I'm not leaving without her," Klaus dismissed, making Seraphina throw down something she was holding.
"Well, I'm leaving," Seraphina began, looking at the siblings. "I don't care if you send people after me. I'm not going to be in the crosshairs of an un-killable newbie vampire." Seraphina finished packing quickly, zipping the small bag up. She smiled at the two before heading out of the mansion, hearing Rebekah begin her lecture. Her phone rang, making Seraphina sigh as she answered it.
"Seraphina," Damon began, making Seraphina grumble out a response as she threw her bag into her car.
"I'm on the way," She began, cranking the car, looking at the front door of the mansion, seeing Rebekah rushing down the steps. "Where are you?"
"Gilbert's."
—
Seraphina stood on the Gilbert's front porch, a sigh leaving her lips as she rang the doorbell. The door opened, revealing the youngest Gilbert.
"Oh no, what are you doing here? Spying for Klaus?" Jeremy sneered lightly. Seraphina's lips turned up in a sneer, she hated the youngest Gilbert with a fiery passion.
"Let her in, little Gilbert," Damon called, making her give him a smirk. He stepped to the side, letting Seraphina slip into the house.
"What do you want?" Elena sneered as she spotted Seraphina.
"I'm here because one of your boyfriends called," Seraphina chirped, making Elena's nostrils flare slightly. Seraphina smiled at how she had gotten underneath Elena's skin.
"Why didn't you bust in?" Elena sneered again.
"I was being polite," She began. "I'm the politest out of all the Salvatore and Mikaelson's." She smiled at Elena.
"Don't blame me!" Damon's voice echoed, making Seraphina turn towards the kitchen. "Blame Bonnie the blood bank. She fed him."
"I had no idea what was happening," Bonnie argued, her posture straightening at the sight of Seraphina, who walked into the kitchen confidently.
"What are you doing here? How did you weasel your way in?" Stefan sneered.
"I want to help," Seraphina defended, looking at Bonnie. "Also, big brother Damon called." She winked at Stefan, making him groan. "Continue Bons."
"Okay, the witches led me there," She explained, giving Seraphina a look. "They wanted him to feed so he'd turn."
"Esther," Seraphina mumbled, making them look at her. "I think having me here might help."
"Maybe."
"So where's the stake now?" Stefan questioned Bonnie.
"Oh, you mean the white oak one?" Damon questioned. "The one that can kill an original and wipe out an entire line of vampires? We don't know."
"If you are so upset with me, why did you feed me your blood to save my life?" Bonnie snapped.
"Because I do stupid things, Bonnie," Damon reminded. "I do things, like let my friend die with dignity when I should have just killed him."
"Alright, so how do we kill him now?" Stefan questioned.
"I've been trying to figure that out," Bonnie replied. "A witch can't truly make an immortal creature, there's always a way to undo a spell."
"So?" Damon questioned. "What's the witchy workaround?"
"That's the problem, I don't know."
The doorbell chime echoed through the Gilbert house, making Seraphina look at the door. Seraphina walked out of the kitchen, making her way to the door. Stefan and Damon shared a look, following their sister.
"What the hell do you want?" Jeremy snapped.
"Now is that any way to treat a guest?"
