Klaus glanced at his sleeping wife, the paintbrush in his hand dancing across the canvas. He smiled lightly at his work, cleaning off his brush before he dipped into a new color.
Seraphina stirred, a sigh leaving her lips as she moved her hand around the bed, not feeling Klaus. She frowned, her eyes still closed. Her eyes fluttered open, looking up at the ceiling before clutching the sheet around her chest. She sat up, seeing Klaus painting.
Klaus hummed as he felt Seraphina lean against him. "Oh honey," She hummed, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, the sleeves of his button-up covering them. "You really should come back to bed," She commented, watching him continue to paint, kissing the shell of his ear.
"I will when I'm finished," He spoke, patting her hand. She sighed, pressing a kiss to his bare shoulder. "You can go back to bed, my darling," He added, pressing a kiss to her hand.
"I've always loved to watch you paint," Seraphina spoke, standing up straight to look over the painting. "I remember when I was human, I always wanted to paint," She sighed.
"I remember those failed attempts teaching you how to paint," Klaus chuckled, making Seraphina scoff. "We ended up covered in paint every time."
"Well, you would distract me," She mumbled, leaning back on him. "And quite frankly, you were a terrible teacher," She added, making Klaus scoff.
"Come here, darling," Klaus said, making Seraphina walk to face him. "I'm going to prove that I'm not a terrible teacher," He informed, taking the canvas off the easel.
"Klaus," She dragged as he placed a clean canvas on the easel. Klaus pulled Seraphina against his front, his arms wrapping around her waist.
"Now, tell me what you want to paint," Klaus said, making Seraphina hum.
"I'm not sure," She spoke after a pause, biting her lip.
"Well, how about I start you off, hm?" He suggested, grabbing her hand and guiding her to the brushes. "Pick up, that one."
"This one?" She questioned, knowing it wasn't the one he motioned towards.
"No," He chuckled, making a giggle tumble past her lips as she picked up the brush, letting him guide her hand to paint across the canvas.
"What were you painting?" Seraphina questioned, her arm moving along with his.
"Well, I started one before you woke up," Klaus began, his eyes watching his hand. "It was a normal city painting, I think it was New Orleans. Once I finished it, I started painting you."
"Me?" She questioned, looking down at the two paintings, the one, a skyline painting did remind her of New Orleans, while the second one had a mass of black paint in the shape of how her hair lays when she slept.
"Yes, you're a beauty," He spoke, resting his chin on the top of her head. "I try to paint and draw you as much as I can. I've been doing this since you've come into my life."
"You are truly something else," Seraphina laughed. "Let me see," She spoke, grabbing the paintbrush, making Klaus let go of her hand.
"Don't get paint on us, please," Klaus pleaded, making her roll her eyes.
"You don't distract me," She countered, making him scoff moving his hands to her hips. She continued to paint, her mind soon wandering to how his hands felt on her skin. She soon thought about the night before, how his hands ravished her during the first couple of hours being in one of the many houses he owned.
"You've stopped painting," Klaus whispered in her ear, his breath fanning across her neck. She swallowed, snapping out of her gaze.
"Oh, well." She hummed, looking at the canvas, the top of the canvas-covered in a deep purple.
"Oh, well what?" He questioned, squeezing her hips lightly. "Are you bored already?" He laughed.
"If I'm being honest," She paused, turning in his arms, paintbrush still in hand as she swiped it across his bare chest. A loud giggle sounded through the room after the paintbrush left his skin, leaving a purple streak on his chest. "Ah, that helps," She sighed, looking up at him, seeing his eyes on her. He shook his head, dipping his finger in red-colored paint and swiping it across her cheek. "Hey!"
"What? It's only fair," Klaus said casually, making her pout. He chuckled, pressing his lips to her pouting ones, making her wrap her arms around his neck. Klaus squeezed her hops, making a squeal leave her lips. "C'mon, let's go get this paint off of us."
