"Within yours, not even within your children's lifetimes."

"Like that makes it any better," Seraphina grumbled, folding her arms over her chest.

"Perhaps it'll finally teach him some manners," Elijah suggested.

"Why should she trust you?" Matt questioned. "All you've done is screwed her over."

"Keep out of this, quarterback," Seraphina snarled, bearing her fangs lightly.

"And for that, I'm deeply ashamed," Elijah replied, ignoring Seraphina's outburst. "But know this — she could have been dead the instant we walked through that door tonight. So, Elena, I leave it to you to make the decision whether to trust me or not."

"Not! Hello!" Damon yelled through the phone. "Did that concussion give you brain damage? His lunatic siblings will kill you the first chance they get!"

"Or his lunatic wife," Seraphina murmured, eyeing Elena.

"Rebekah and Kol will honor the terms of you return Klaus' body to us — Elena will come to no harm."

"And Seraphina?" Damon questioned, making everyone turn to her. Her eyebrow ticked up for a moment before she let out a shaky sigh.

"I honor the terms," She whispered, wiping away a tear off her cheek.

"Do we have a deal?" Elijah questioned.

"No! No, no, no, no. Did I mention no?" Damon yelled.

"Elena, it's up to you," Stefan said.

"Oh, come on!" Damon groaned.

"Why do you want Klaus' body?" Elena questioned.

"He's my brother, he's Seraphina's husband. We remain together," Elijah said, making Elena sigh.

"We have a deal," She spoke, making Seraphina sigh in relief. Jeremy got his phone out, dialing a number and pressing it to his ear.

"I know where Klaus' body is," Jeremy spoke into the phone, Seraphina's eyes on him as Elijah wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Damon's on his way to bury him in the woods off route twelve," Jeremy informed. "I'll text you with the specifics. I know." Jeremy ended the call, putting the phone back in his pocket.

"He bought it."

"Eli -" Seraphina lost her balance, making Elijah catch the vampire, holding her close to him as Rebekah came up to the two.

"He's gone, Elijah," Rebekah whispered, making Seraphina sob.

"I'm going to die," She cried against Elijah's chest, a cough taking over her.

"Tyler Lockwood is dead," Elijah began. "But the rest of survived," He added, his eyebrows furrowed. "You said Niklaus turned their bloodline."

"I thought he did," She responded.

"It wasn't me, it wasn't Kol."

"It wasn't me, Elijah," Rebekah said. "It was Niklaus, I'm sure if it."

"Then how are they still alive?" Elijah questioned as another coughing fit came over Seraphina. "We need to get her home."

Elijah watched as Seraphina laid in the bed, Rebekah had left them, not want to watch her best friend die.

"I should be dead by now," She whispered as she looked up at the ceiling.

"Rest, please Sera," Elijah mumbled, making her roll over to look at him.

"Elijah," She called, making him look at her. "Tell me something, anything." She licked her lips, a shaky breath leaving her lips. "Maybe a long lost lover? A secret baby?" She suggested with a small smile.
