practices in church were finally over for this afternoon, and so i hurriedly grabbed my bag and made sure that everything i had brought was inside it before i would leave the place.

"sooyi, where are you going?" someone's voice suddenly asked me from behind just when i was about to take my first step.

i turned back and eventually noticed that everyone was heading in the same direction while i was the only one facing the other.

"oh jooheon-ssi, do we have more things to practice... for?" i asked, confused.

"no, but won't you be joining us all for dinner? our priest prepared a feast!" jooheon asked, flashing a friendly smile.

"ohhh." i left my mouth open for a while as i contemplated whether to leave immediately or to stay.

however, it was going to be very embarassing if i were to turn them all down. the rest of the choir members and dancers stood waiting for jooheon and me. i was pretty sure they were expecting me to say yes now so they could go ahead to the dining area where all of us would be gathered.

"it's gonna be fun! come!" jooheon tugged at my arm gently and dragged me along with him.

i guess my decision was to stay and spend more time with my churchmates after feeling convinced by jooheon's invitation.

it had only been a few hours since jooheon and i met each other, but he was really good at making me feel at ease around his presence. he initiated lots of topics to talk about, and he gave good reactions to constantly let me know that he was engaged in the conversation.

i guess he's just naturally a social butterly who was filled with lots of energy.

"wahhh, it's a buffet!" jooheon suddenly rejoiced.

the moment we entered the dining area, jooheon directly led me to fall in line with the others who were waiting to get their own food.

"jooheon-ah, we don't even have a seat--"

"i'll go look for a seat. you fall in line and reserve my spot behind you!" he noted.

i watched jooheon as he went around the room to look for a table where we could join. as i was approaching closer, i started to get a plate for myself and fill it with food to eat.

before i moved on to the next, jooheon suddenly came rushing behind my back as he hurriedly grabbed a plate for himself.

"alright! we're sitting at that corner." he pointed with his lips to which i looked as well.

he then started filling his own plate with food before catching sight of mine.

"you filled your plate with little food. you need to eat more." he pointed out.

"it's okay. plates are quite heavy, i can just come back here later if i wanted to add more food." i said.

"oh alright, i'll help you. here, have some more beef." he offered as he got food for himself.

i immediately held my plate closer to him so he could add some more food for me.

"thank you very much! i think this will be enough already. i'll head to our table first." i said.

"oh yeah, sure!" he gave a nod before carrying on with adding some desserts on his plate this time.

i walked to our table and put my plate down first before sitting down comfortably. afterwards, i started to eat after seeing jooheon approaching fast already.
