Jung Soo Yi
"are you telling me you're soo?" his voice cautiously asked, and now it seemed like it would echo in my head forever.
i guess this is finally reality.
minhyuk and i stared at each other in disbelief until i eventually broke into laughter.
"yah! i can't believe this..." i laughed at how silly destiny played us both.
minhyuk grew a bit more confused at my sudden reaction as he narrowed his eyebrows at me.
"what are you so happy about? are you joking with me right now?" minhyuk tried to argue again.
"could you calm down for a while? you're literally so mean to me in person that i wouldn't have recognized hyuk and you were the same person!" i told him as i quickly reached out for my phone in my pocket.
"here." i shoved my phone right infront of his face.
"that's the evidence. unfortunately."
minhyuk's eyes lit up as he quickly held onto my hand that was holding the phone in order to see clearly.
"y-yah... n-no skinship please.." i muttered uncomfortably which he seemed to ignore.
minhyuk was staring at my phone intensely that it seemed to me as if he'd go cross-eyed anytime already.
"aish! it's really true!" he suddenly whined which startled me.
i looked at him messing up his hair like a kid who dropped his favorite candy on the floor.
"yah, stop complaining like you're offending me. i'm not the only one disappointed here..." i rolled my eyes.
"you? disappointed in me? hey, that's really harsh."
"i'm just feeling uneasy that we both knew each other, and i already talked to you about... t-things.." minhyuk added.
by the way he stuttered towards the end, he was obviously flustered upon recalling what we would talk about.
"but hey, aren't you uncomfortable towards me, too?" minhyuk curiously asked.
"i am, but i'm just trying to contain it. besides, this is just the beginning phase. you don't know how i would grow so shy in front of you later on." i forecasted just so minhyuk would know what to expect.
"ughh.. i still can't believe this." minhyuk grabbed his hair once again.
"... me neither. i thought i would be talking to someone outside our school." i said.
a few thoughts crossed my mind before i finally remembered something important about this.
"ah, right! jooheon can't know about this. maybe it's best we pretend that everything's fine and normal between us like how it usually is. this is already way too embarassing for someone else to find out." i said.
"pshh, don't worry about it. i was even thinking if i should cut off all connections from you and maintain distance at all times now." minhyuk spoke.
"that's fine with me. if you can, then do so." i smiled at him coolly.
i went closer towards minhyuk and tapped on my shoulder while he raised his eyebrows at me in confusion once again.
"rest your arms here. i'll bring you to jooheon now." i said.
"w-wait.. thinking about that now, it seems like a bad idea. why would we be together, don't you think?" minhyuk hesitated.
i realized that there was actually a good point in his statements.
