"there it's all clean." soo yi took her hand off my face.

i blinked my eyes for a couple of times, trying to take my attention off hwang jisoo who was clearly affected by the sight of soo yi and i together.

"thank y-- oh!"

all of a sudden, a student passed right behind soo yi and bumped onto her which startled us both. soo yi was accidentally pushed towards me so she landed on my chest while i immediately held onto her. i was now assisting her body to prevent the weight from letting us fall together.

"a-are you okay?" i asked her out of concern.

soo yi let go of me and stood up straight by herself immediately. she nodded and took a quick glance at jisoo who was frowning at us both. suddenly, jisoo stormed out of the hallway by passing the other way to avoid coming close to us both.

"whew." soo yi shook her head slowly.

i looked at her and saw her lift her head up to see me.

"happy? i helped you, alright?" soo yi raised a brow at me and rolled her eyes.

i released a light chuckle and cleared my throat.

"t-thank you, soo yi-ah." i patted her head gently which made her flinch out of surprise.

"but.. i think it must have affected jisoo to see us being sweet like that? it wasn't even the best i could do. the way she's reacting is really fishy." she shrugged.

i paused to think about soo yi's words. it could only mean one thing for jisoo to be reacting like that.

"maybe we tugged at her remaining feelings for me." i spoke, somehow feeling hurt that jisoo might have some hidden feelings for me that she's been denying all this time.

"good for you, then." soo yi sighed and started walking away, leaving me behind.

i was currently hanging out with jooheon at the rooftop. two days have passed and i haven't seen soo yi around in school which somehow bothered me.

because of her absence, it was just then that i had noticed myself starting to care for her presence more over hwang jisoo's.

ever since soo yi and i got closer after the batch party, she has been clouding my mind and pushing away my thoughts of jisoo.

perhaps, i initiated this making-jisoo-jealous thing because i simply wanted to get closer to her. was i really just realizing the real purpose that i had in my mind right now?

quickly, i took my phone out and went ahead to send soo yi a message. i was trying to resist the urge since yesterday, but seeing that she's not here today as well made me worry and want to check up on her already.

-i haven't seen u attend school for two days.

i slowly placed my phone inside my pocket and turned to face jooheon who was playing a mobile game beside me.

"jooheon-ah, about soo yi your friend.."

"i haven't seen her around today and yesterday..?" i spoke, trying to make myself not seem too curious.

"ahh.. she texted me she caught a cold. i'm actually planning to spend time with her right after she gets well." he said, concentrating on his game.
