i looked at minhyuk and saw him smile at me when i did. mentally, i was somehow wondering what his smile was actually for. i shifted my eyes back to my arm which jooheon was still holding and pulled it away.

"ey, what are you talking about?" i questioned jooheon with a smile, trying to keep the mood lighter.

jooheon paused for a while and realized how i probably felt awkward by what he had said.

"jung. sooyi. don't. look. at. other. guys." he reminded again using a funny tone on me which made me chuckle.

"oh by the way, please have some of my punch. i barely made it to the middle because i only took sips." i said while pouring some punch onto a new paper cup which was on minhyuk and jooheon's table.

all of a sudden, minhyuk stood up and came closer to me.

"i'll drink that instead." he spoke.

i looked up at him and contemplated for a while until jooheon walked towards us and held the cup.

"it's okay, she offered it to me so i'll drink it." jooheon said.

"but you've drank a lot even before the party had started. i wanted to try out this drink anyway." minhyuk reasoned out.

"it's alright, i was planning to get wasted tonight. besides, i'm a way better drinker than you are, lee minhyuk. i handle my alcohol better than you do." jooheon said.

"uhm.. you guys can share it. i'll get going with yujin now." i backed away from the two of them and went towards my bestfriend so we could finally dance together.

yujin and i ran to the center and quickly blended in with the crowd as we started to get in the vibe. i danced along to the music feeling lighter and more carefree. on the other hand, yujin was still trying her best to get spotted by dj h.one.

"yujin-ah, is your drink good?" i asked her, getting curious.

"ahhh, it's an apple flavored beer. it's just light." yujin handed out her bottle, motioning that i could go taste it.

i smiled at her and took the drink. i attempted to drink a little from the bottle without touching the top with my lips. however, i accidentally poured a lot into my mouth and filled my cheeks.

"haha, careful!" yujin laughed at me while i was shocked.

slowly, i stood still and tried to swallow the drink little by little as i realized it tasted decent enough for me.

"oh!"

out of the blue, i suddenly bumped backs with someone which alarmed me, so i quickly turned around while i still had some drink inside my mouth to say my apologies as soon as possible.

however, the moment i turned to look, i saw that it was actually shownu himself who i had bumped with.

my eyes widened, and so i hurriedly swallowed the drink in surprise which then accidentally made me choke and cough a bit.

"i'm... so..rry" i said in between coughs.

"jung sooyi, are you alright?" he tried to lean closer to see my face.

"y-yeah.. i-i'm fine now." i cleared my throat and faced him.

"are you sure? do you want me to go get you some water?" he put his hand on my shoulder carelessly, and at that moment, i was mentally screaming of joy.

"no it's okay, i promise. thanks for your concern. i'm also sorry for bumping into you." i smiled apologetically while scratching my head a little bit.
