i sat still on my seat while sipping on some bubble tea. apparently, minhyuk and jooheon went to the restroom together while yujin and i saved a table for us four back here at the school's cafeteria again.

it was a peaceful place where we could bond considering that most of the student population were outside the building roaming around booths and stores with their friends.

"hey, why don't we open your other letter?" yujin asked.

"ah, right." i just remembered.

i quickly took out the other letter i had with me. we were so engrossed in the first letter a while ago that we even forgot to read the content of the second one i received.

"eh? that's all?" yujin's eyes widened as she questioned the second letter.

"i once read a random post on my social media saying: 'be careful who you look at, because you can fall for a stranger if you keep gazing at them. our body produces a chemical, phenyl ethylamine, which is also related to the body’s fight-or-flight response. too much staring means you’re ready to fight and, in essence, also ready to fall in love.'

i don't know how true this is but i guess...

"is he being ambiguous?" yujin asked me again after i read the letter.

"soap? who could soap be?" i wondered.

"your admirers' minds are really interesting. but i guess, that one is implying he fell for you because he's been looking at you so much. do you notice anyone doing that?" yujin asked.

"not that i know of." i shook my head.

"he must really be discreet then. i really wanna find out who he is." yujin scratched her head.

"might as well become wary of every single person looking into my way then?" i joked, but obviously it would most likely result to that.

"oh, well. we'll soon be starting graduation practices anyway. they'd probably step up their game soon and confess to you." yujin concluded.

Lee Minhyuk

"jooheon-ah, i'll come out first." i shook my hands dry after washing them and informed jooheon.

"yeahhh!" he answered while he was inside the cubicle.

i quickly got out of the restroom, but unexpectedly, i found hwang jisoo suddenly coming out of the girl's restroom the same moment that i did.

she eventually noticed my presence and stared at me. her stare was somehow piercing as if she was mad at me. however, her mood has noticeably been off these days now, too.

i can't help but wonder what went wrong.

"tsk. pathetic." she muttered under her breath as she glared at me and attempted to walk away.

hearing it, i wasn't one to let it slide.

"what did you say?" i tilted my head and took a step forward as she paused on her tracks.

she turned to look at me and crossed her arms.

"oh, do you wanna talk about it?" she raised an eyebrow at me boldly.

hwang jisoo's attitude was still the same after all.

"what's your problem?" i asked.

"you're getting more and more pathetic in my eyes. that's the problem." she spoke.
